lilsheepshagga_turbo Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Agree with many of the things said here, obviously the car remains awesome, but it would be great to see Nissan bring out a more focussed version. Loads of other manufacturers have managed it.....Renault Trophie / Focus RS / Type RR / Lambo Super....cant spell it / even the special addition Boxster. Ingredients would be simple, cut the weight, little lower, bigger brakes. anyone from Nissan on the Forum?! ermmm the s-tune??? i know they werent officially sold here but they are available... Quote
IanS Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Arr interesting. Dont know much about them...but want to find out more. And if it already exists, why dont we get one! Quote
bronzee Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Another thing that i find is the dip stick and yet no one else has mentioned it yet ?? Lol, you mean the most wonky looking dipstick ever created to man. Thankfully they sorted that out on the 2005's onwards. Quote

Maccaman Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 What do I hate ................. Hang on i'm still thinking. Agree with some of the issues already raised but over all Much better when I changed tyres. The Stones were soooo noisy Quote
clarkie34 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I hate driving postman pats van home when i have to take it in to the stealers for a service. Surely they could provide a better car than a bloody micra. Quote
Dicky Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 WORSE THAN ALL THESE IS THAT THE BLOODY INDICTORS DONT CANCEL UNLESS YOU DO A SERIOUSE AMOUNT OF STEERING WHEEL TURNING. HAD MANY NEAR MISSES WHEN PEOPLE AT 'T' JUNCTIONS THOUGHT I WAS TURNING IN HAVING JUST MADE ANYTHING LESS THAN A FULL 90DEG LEFT TURN. CANT HEAR THEM IF EITHER MUSIC OR A/C ON. THE INDICATOR LIGHT ISNT VERY BRIGHT AND GETS BLANKED OFF BY MY HANDS ON THE WHEEL BLOODY DANGEROUS IF YOU ASK ME Quote

jonb Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Cancelling the indicators ?! Wow, the bottom of the barrel for things wrong with the car has been well and truly scraped ! I agree about the 100hp more, it cancels out the 'modern safety' weight penalty. Is that a wide fender or a love handle? If Nissan had put the GTS out into the wild it would be selling like crazy. Cancelling your own indicators, well seen you have a bike! Agree too that if you know it's a problem then probably best to cancel them yourself to avoid 'near misses' Quote
RobD7 Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I think it's more of a case of remembering to switch them off! I've spent 5/6 years driving cars which have done it for me at a much earlier turn point!! Quote

mec Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 why didn't nissan put a handle to close the boot... save grabbing the paint and the computer button would have been better on the steering wheel. Quote

Yes the driver could get into the habit of self cancelling after a while but during that time he’s vulnerable. Its easy to forget and once could be enough. What’s the point of designing a self cancelling mechanism that only works “up to a point†Quote
Rentech Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 The fact that after adjusting the moving the passenger seat out of the way to access the storage area it returns to a postion bang in the middle of the window requiring me to lean over and readjust it every time Quote
From A to Zed Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 1). The paint, especially in black. 2). The 'cancel your fun' ECU. 3). The lack of (simple) IPOD interaction without replacing the HU, then needing a PAC-ROM, then steering wheel matrix... I forgive her all that as soon you get to wring her out in 3rd up a slip road and toast mr 330ci on the A-roads Quote
