  1. The Altered Atmosphere spacer that we sell retains the strut brace as well Adam how much is the AA one? does it have a heat soak gasket like the motordyne one? Cheers.
  2. ELM327 is the standard interface, it's not mega fast at reading the data. If i was buying again the bluetooth one would nice. ProScan is a cool program for the money, the blatz stuff doesn't do much more than the free ODB readers. Lots like the DigiMoto tool. Cool thing to have, have fun, you can't do any damage.
  3. Newspeak right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_language[/url]
  4. Light coloured leather isn't that bad, just needs a wipe down with leather cleaner and conditioner every 3 months or so. Unless your a farmer... IMHO if it has the whole shooting match, dash, carpets and door cards then it can be a little harder.
  5. It's easy to take off, Nissan wanted silly money for a replacement as it comes with all the buttons. I rubbed it down with fine wet and dry and sprayed it with some black bumper spray (it's a matt and a close match). Looks like new.
  6. Might be as others say the switch from FWD to RWD, I've had a string of RWD cars and found regardless of where the engine is i've needed to balance the throttle before and through the apex with more consideration... otherwise it feels uneasy after turn in and understeers. Compared to the other RWD's the 350z does feel a little flat, and i've personally found it hard to get and keep heat in the b/stone tyres (probably different with your Proxies), but not enough to lose confidence.
  7. MPG increased to 50mpg & gained an extra 75bhp wow 75bhp across the rev range?

    ECU reset

Hi All, is there another way of resetting the ECU other than the pedal's and consult? OBD2? I know the MIL light can be reset with the basic OBD software, just wondering if the ecu can be reset.
  9. Does it do much, mpg, power?

    TCS

First time I've heard that. I can easily make my TCS kick in in a straight line. If rears spin quicker than fronts it will kick in. This is the same on mine from my experience chris, the TCS will not allow wheel spin even in a straight line, it cuts in. Definitely noticed that the ESP gives a little more tolerance in this weather, spun the wheels a few times no light comes on.
  11. Keep an eye on how long it has been on sale for... they may be keen to deal if it has been there over the 3month mark. Taking up forecourt space has a price too.
  12. Is it safe to do that, anyone tried Molyslip on a z?
  13. ...hmm it's worse than before when cold. Anyone know how much it is to repair\exchange a box?
  14. Got the car back and took it for a 10mile run, the box was warm but must say it feels better and quick changes don't crunch. It's not smooth as silk, but feels a lot less notchy.
  15. After trying for a while I found i couldn't live with it, it's going in on Weds next week to have the transmission oil changed. Had to ask Nissan nicely to do the work as they orginally said they wouldn't stick the oil i bought in it, they'd only stick in the Nissan stuff... but after a little chat they knew it was a known problem and agreed that changing it with the nissan oil (75w-85) would do nothing. One of the engineers said they had good results with some Mobil EP 80w-90 oil... So i had a look around but in the end went for Mobil Modilube 1 SHC 75w-90 off of Opie oils... if it doesn't work i will probably go with redline's heavyshock, but as Opie doesn't have it listed for the car i thought i'd try the Mobil (I didn't think it wise to go against Opie's judgement and price )... I'll let you guys know how it goes.

    BP Ultimate 102

sounds like it's not worth the trip down to Maidstone, wish someone would crack this ecu
  17. Anyone used the 102 RON fuel from BP? http://www.bp.com/genericsection.do?cat ... Id=7017179 Wondered if it is any better than V-Power, for like special occasions?
  18. Guessing i would say no, i'd expect the roadster to have strengthen parts. Plus it wouldn't be worth the risk.

    Hi Beam

I didn't bother replacing the indicators maybe a mod for the future. It was a little fiddly changing the bulbs over, as I didn't remove the wheel. But the most annoying thing was having put the lining on and lowering the jack... to see a white dish on top of the tool kit. That'll be the back of the head lamp, up she goes again.

    Hi Beam

Should i have bought the wedge type front indicator bulbs?

    Hi Beam

Just ordered this little lot off autobulbs 501LEDBR - 501 LED Super Bright White 1W (pair) £11.99 581SV - 581 Philips Silver Vision (pair) £13.45 OSNBH411 - H7 Ring Xenon Max + 90% 12v 55w NEW! (pair) £21.50 After chatting to a few people I got asked a few times if the wiring in zed could take above 55w bulbs, thought probably best not to find out the hard way and went for the xenon max bulbs
  22. Mainly off... unless i am on the motorway, not sure why. Would be good it was the otherway round, the option to turn it on... I didn't travel backwards through hedges before I had cars with it on. Guess it helps a little with the unknown, oil, grease, etc
