GMballistic Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Wow that sucks. Not sure I'd want it back after the thieves have ragged it but still I hope the owner gets a satisfactory resolution. Quote
Strudul Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Why would you not install a tracker in a car like this... Fingers crossed it comes back unharmed though. 1 Quote
ZMANALEX Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Why would you not install a tracker in a car like this... Fingers crossed it comes back unharmed though. Indeed, I have a tracker on my R35 GT-R which cost £1000.00 initially, and £215.00 annually for the Tracker subscription. Gives me peace of mind and a discount on my insurance, with a premium of £455.00 annually. 3 Quote

Probably worth the extra on a car like that though, and it's minuscule relative to the cars value. Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Exactly my first thought, why no tracker??? Anyways I hope they find the car and the scum. Quote
Willsy1980 Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I'd have thought a tracker would be the first thing done. Couldn't even insure my old Impreza without one ? Quote
-G- Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I personally would have put a tracker on it and find it odd they didn't. Doesn't detract from the fact some thieving toerag needs his lights put out. Cheap, rudimentary tracker solutions are available to anyone who cares to look on eBay, they won't lower your premiums like a paid thatcham one, but it's better to have something to fall back on than sweet FA. ilogikal1 Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Does anyone actually know that it doesn't have a tracker? They are remarkably easy to circumvent after all. Quote
bigjackb Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 The car does have a tracker and was returned to the owner last night. 2 Quote
