Standard exhaust?

Hi guys, I know the pics aren't the best, but I can't currently get underneath the car. I was wandering if this exhaust looks standard to you? I don't know what its supposed to sound like, but the car has a much louder and deeper humming than I expected. I know YouTube videos aren't the best source, but both the cabin and exterior vids I've seen seem to have the 'throatyness/gurgling' of the engine come through a lot more than my car, and not the deep hum I seem to have.

Thanks, I did think of blowing as a possibility, but as I say not having never heard a car in the real world it is difficult to tell, will get the shoddy parts replaced. Cheers!

Start engine and reach under with some tissue near the flange. If it wafts about you have a leak. Maybe just needs new gaskets.

 

Best to get a full stainless steel cat-back to be on the safe side though!!

If funds are tight an exhaust place can repair and weld the join for about £50

Agree with juggalo, pic 2 is the weak point in the exhaust system and has already been mentioned you could get it welded up but chances are the flexi's will be on their way out and it does look well rusty. If you were thinking of a repair just put he cash towards a stainless cat-back system.

Oh its a standard exhaust alright haha. Replaced mine in 2014 after only 30 oddK miles... crap OEM. New exhaust time most definitely

Plus 1 on all of that.

It's sooting up by there so definitely letting exhaust gases out.

 

Have a look at the professional traders on here like Torqen, Tarmac Sportz, the Cougar Store and more who can all sort you out with a nice exhaust system whatever your budget or requirements.
