valy Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 (edited) didn't get much time until now over the past few weeks to continue the work on the Zed but I have restarted the project to see if I can get it ready for the club anniversary in Coventry next month so started with a rear wiper delete managed to crack one of my sidesteps in a curve so that needs repairing aswell slowly getting there... and started filling the aches a lot more as I wasn't happy with the first filling Edited June 21, 2017 by valy 1 Quote
valy Posted June 24, 2017 Author Posted June 24, 2017 after loads and loads of filling I have started the sanding as well and since I cannot see how good it looks without an even coat of colour I have done my ultra violet as well on here and it does look much better then before although I have a few more small marks to fill with some ultra fine filler after plus after a good needed wash I thought I might add the Tarmac Sportz window stickers as well new issue identified as I am loosing slowly pressure from my driver side bag,hopefully is just a loose connector or so will need to sort it tomorrow Quote

valy Posted June 25, 2017 Author Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) bit of an extra to play around with,I have thought I take my door handles off and dip them in black matt as I have a spray not being used and try some clear on top...see if I like the finished product otherwise will just spray paint them so here is the result so far handle off cleaned of graffiti coat the 2 products I used and the preliminary results once I applied the clear I have made sure that I applied many coats of dip as this is key in removing the product if the finish is not what I am after plus I have only done 1 coat of clear Edited June 25, 2017 by valy Quote

valy Posted August 5, 2017 Author Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) bit of a thread revival, since my front bumper needed rewrapping I decided to try and use my original plan of Autoflexing purple the car and do the bumper first to see if I am pleased with the final result if all ok I shall do the whole car over the next week as I have a bit of time on my hands at the moment so things I have done today were 4 coats of high build primer black and 3 coats of spray wrap pro purple Edited August 5, 2017 by valy 1 Quote

I decided that I will do a Blackout so instead of forking out £4k for a full respray I looked for the last few weeks for a kuro black zed with just front damage/engine damage and a good paint and when I found this advert I thought This is it,now is the time here's the donor: so early morning drive to Liverpool yesterday and got the boot/rear bumper/doors/a pillars and side steps and today already changed my A pillars might sound like a crazy idea for some but I think should be at least half cheaper to do then getting a full respray wish me luck LOL Edited October 9, 2017 by valy 1 Quote
