Just wondering if the club is going to be attending JAE 2016 this year.

If so has anyone any information etc?

Z club and 300zx club are not having a stand this year due to excessive entry fees. A few members are attending with other displays.

300zx.co.uk still have a booked pitch, but they are not actually using club funds to do anything with it this year.

There are a few 300zx members planning on attending themselves and using the pitch that the club booked.

As Lexx has said the pitch is there for any Z owner to use and its the same pitch as last year. We had a poll on 300zx.co.uk to see who was going and because of the price hike only a few might of went the rest were not happy with the price.

John has got to greedy..... large increase in entry fees, lowering attendance of any traders, IMHO JAE is going to die off before not too long. 4 days of sat in a field with no traders and very little entertainment. My daughter is the trade manager and really struggling to get traders to attend again due to increase of fees......real shame as we have had some cracking shows over the years.

It's £10 a day... where's the problem? Most shows this year have costed £15-£35 for one day entry ticket.

Alternative? Bit more of a drive, but it's got traders, entertainment, a circuit, DJs playing into the night....

Looking at the list of announced traders this it would seem your daughter is doing a great job. I cannot wait - been every year since 2008

As Grundy says, at a little over £10 per day including camping/facilities it's hardly breaking the bank. Our club don't tend to get involved with the competitions and such but never find a shortage of things to get up to

 

Where are other Zed owners this year? We are in Wangan (W22) just behind the traders. Come by say hello

yea this will be my last one, the price, location and what on offer doesn't warrant it for me anymore

 

wicksteed was a much better venue in comparison last year it felt so spread it out it look like hardly anyone turned up in some areas,

 

there is literally nothing car showy to do. it's family fun day drawn out over 4 days and if i recall Newark site isnt very well maintained grass wasn't cut last year so was like parking in a jungle for some stands, toilet and shower facility are crap at Newark the price has nearly doubled compared with 2-3 years back and nothing new is on the table, and some of the staff on facebook just being pig ignorant with the feedback and trying to justify it rather than fixing it.

Have to make more effort to get the 380 down to some of these shows next year - only managed 2 in Scotland this year due to work commitments.

Never a bad thing. Atleast there you will stand out and get views as opposed to being lost in a sea of the same car. Much like we did on the MR2 stand We're on stand W22 mate, pop by if you get a mo

Just a final word on JAE 2016. We are heading down there tomorrow around 10ish, aiming to be there for 12 ish, anyone around over the 4 days fancy a chat and a drink, pop over to "NE Japs" we wont be far from the Admin office in that first paddock.

 

If anyone wants to stick there car on the stand and socialise, by all means send a pm over and I will keep an eye on the forum, or just drop by and introduce yourself..... will be good to meet more like minded soles. I will be a black 50 with 370 Rims.
