GC350z Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 This has just hit the web. It looks like some kind of internal promotional video to newbies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz0ks5CSsx4 Quote
Kev946 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 This has just hit the web. It looks like some kind of internal promotional video to newbies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz0ks5CSsx4 It was in the paper today. Apparently it was supposed to be to a closed audience of Scientologist Nuts, so he's fuming. Quote
stevie_350z Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 shame it's heavily edited, but it's like he's putting on a performance Quote
GC350z Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 It cuts out about half way through. This is full version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmvUvxiW ... h_response Quote
sl114 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Complete nutter! He seems to be passionate about it though, which is the worrying thing. Its like he wants to be God! Quote
GC350z Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 His ability to construct a sentence is laughable. Absolute gibberish. Quote
M13KYF Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 He's not doing anybody any harm. I don't believe in any religion but there are some religions out there that aren't good for humanity. Quote
sinbad Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 What an idiot! It really does look like he's acting. His hand gestures and pauses are just . I used to like Cruise as well. Thats just put paid that he's mad. Quote
Chesterfield Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 No wonder he's fuming, Its certainly got his pending £50M lawsuit against Andrew morton and the publisher St Martins Press holed perilously close to the waterline. Quote
sl114 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 What was nice is that we are not allowed to say anything bad about him or his beliefs, that was until he is not with Viacom anymore, teehee.. Quote
Zedrush Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Studied scientology for 2 years for my thesis paper "Religion and the mind", I dont condemn other peoples beliefs or religion but Scientology is a cult and a dangerous movement prisoning peoples mindset to a belief that was made up by a sci fi writer They targeted celebs, gave them high levels on The E-meter so that they will join, and use them as puppets for the media view advertising... Tom Cruise classic example..his own sister (happened to be the treasurer of County Scientology) sold him in... Funny how when they approached Anthony Hopkins he told them where to stick it. Quote
AndySpak Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I think the religions of today will be viewed in a couple of thousand years time in the same way we view ancient Egyptian and Greek religions in mondern society. Polythesism is now not really entertained by most religious people and I don't think it will be too long before people realise that Monotheism is just as unrealistic. Roll on the day when kids find out there is no god at the same time their parents tell them about Father Christmas and the Tooth fairy (cue the "what, you mean there's no Father Christmas?" comments ) Anyway, I thought this was a website about cars? Quote
H5 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I thought the Fast and the Furious said there were car gods? Quote

This link still works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmvUvxiW ... h_response It does indeed, this will keep those lawyers busy. Having watched a short part of this I get the feeling a specialist in reading body language might make a few observations inline with a couple of comments in this thread. Beliefs are very strong emotions, I think Bertrand Russell summed it up with what is often called the Celestial teapot, or if you'd prefer a more humourous version the "invisible pink unicorn", no comment on whether I think Tom is either a unicorn or a teapot as I believe that would be a ridiculous notion.
