An Series 1 RS turbo sold for £60k last year !

http://www.westernmo...tail/story.html

So what is my unmolested 29,000 mile, 1992, 3 door Escort Cosworth LUX: worth ?

Radiant Red, Full Black Leather interior, factory sunroof, factory original stereo.

No mods, except a stainless steel exhaust, no track days, FSH, every MOT certificate, and every service receipt, Original number plates, Original RS dealership rear window sticker and tax disc holder. Original purchase invoice.

Never been out in the rain and stored in heated garage.

Perhaps time to cash in: :teeth:

I've got a tenner with your name on it. Can you deliver to SE London?

Old escorts & fiestas, RS turbo's, XR2's 3's etc were the zeds of my schooldays - sapphire cossies & xr4x4's etc were the GTR's although not in price lol

As much as I get a nostalgic twinge when I see them, I remember that there were so many young lads & lassies killed driving them it was unreal - they literally did wrap themselves round trees and your chances of surviving a roll weren't good.

Don't think I'd have the cahonies to drive an old ford like I drive the Zed.

Thats got to be name your price territory, have you thought about how long you will hold onto it for? It could easily be 100K+ in a few years ...... :scare:

Been stored since 2003, don't know how long I can hold onto it for. :surrender:

Totally terrified that my beneficiaries just give it away.

I'd say that's a case of how much the money would change your life

If you have plenty spare keep it :)

I would at least try and get it valued so you have an idea. Also depends on your age. If still young then keep hold for a future money egg but if 50 plus then I would consider selling soonish. Life is just to short and needs to be lived. You can't take it with you and the older you are, the less time you have. That is unless you have everything you need and want in life or you get more enjoyment out of it that money can bring.

  • 2 weeks later...

Seeing as you mentioned some American muscle already, but not a 2016 mustang?

They can be had, all options on it with a 5.0 V8 ( the only choice surely??? ) for a smidge over £37k

Now I know there's a waiting list, but you can go on autotrader and get one RIGHT NOW for that sorta cash with less than 1000 miles on it :)

Auto or manual, black or red or yellow.....

If you want to get me a triple black manual 5.0 for a late xmas surprise.... I don't mind that it's a month overdue ;)

JUST GOT BACK FROM MY TEST DRIVE IN ONE....... GO DRIVE ONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
