Me & my fiancee are enjoying our first Christmas together in our own home. Our decorations are old but the tree is brand new ~ a prelit £35 tree from Asda's with 180 LEDs. Pretty pleased with it tbh.

We've bought our first house this year and i'm hosting Christmas for the first time ever, so i wanted to go all out Clark W Griswold to impress me Mum.

 

Tree was a 10.5 footer (£85!!) but i chopped 1.5' off the bottom and 1' off the top as my lounge ceiling is only 8'.

To do it properly Clark W Griswold style you should have cut it down yourself, ...well actually to be true to the film, he pulled it out of the ground roots & all because he forgot the saw.

It looks really good either way. Puts my 6 footer to shame.

 

We were going to go full on too but just couldn't justify spending money on loads of Christmas decorations & lights when we've only been in our place for 3 months odd so are still paying out for lots of other things.

 

The plan is to buy some more Christmas decorations/lights in the sales when they're cheap to be ready for next year then.
