Sold my car, Hunting woes

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am currently an MR2 Turbo owner however after contemplating many cars, 180sx Type X's, Rx7's, Evo's etc I have decided to put the MR2 up for sale and will be looking specifically for a well kept, near stock black GT spec 350z with upto 75,000 miles.

Hopefully something pops up in the coming weeks and if anyone on here knows of one that fits this criteria that's coming up for sale soon please send them my way!

Looking forward to owning a 350z, it's been on the list for a while!

Ross

Hello and welcome

I'm considering to sell mine around September 2015 to fund my house deposit. Mine's 2004 black GT, around 79k and fairly standard. Plenty of previous service history and I've been keeping it in tip top condition.

Check out my build thread (link in my signature below)

I will consider selling it early for the right price =) try me?

Welcome aboard Ross. :welcome:

You should seriously consider looking at Veegs Zed. I know he looks after it very well. ;)

Thanks Gareth.

Unfortunately the timeline for the house has been brought forward 6 months hence will have to sell it around September/October B)

Hoping to be in our new home by the end of August at the latest now. So frustrating though waiting for an owner/seller to get their act together, not to mention bl**dy solicitors.:yawn:

Good luck. ;)

Thanks for the welcome comments!

I will hopefully have my car sold in the next few weeks and I will start my hunt properly.

Are there any common rust areas to look out for with 350's? Common faults etc?

If there is a link even to a buyers guide that would be great, thanks.

Check for rust as you would on any car but specifically rear wheel arches as that's were it will be most likely.

Really excited to own one of these, was watching videos on youtube and that V6 soundtrack is just incredible.

Also is black a rare colour for these? I don't see that many up for sale in comparison to say silver...I thought black would be very common :/

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok potentially could have the MR2 sold on the weekend, I have seen a car that I like however having trouble determining if it is a GT model...is doesn't mention it anywhere in the description.

It has a black leather seats, cruise control, Brembo brakes...doesn't say if it has the bose system...has sat nav. Again no mention of Xenon lights, the description is pretty poor if I'm honest so here's the link...

Judging by the pictures, it has brembo brakes, and Xenon lights - but not Bose. :)

Ok thanks

How could you tell it doesn't have a Bose system?

The head unit looks like the factory Bose one..
