j4 mte Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 If you had a standard 350z, pre facelift DE engine and had £3000 to spend on improving/modifying, what would you spend it on? The £3000 needs to cover any labour for major jobs (kits and painting, suspension etc) Spend away!! Quote
Jack wellZ Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Or if your not into that, exhaust, some body cosmetics and revup? Quote
StevoD Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 depends what you wanna do with it if it For me and Drifting would have to be investing in a 2way LSD then coilovers then a bucket seat and some spare wheels Quote
ZMANALEX Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Brakes, Suspension, Tyres, Track day tuition, Track Days. Fuel, fuel and more fuel. That way you have blown the lot. 3 Quote
Mikevv Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 New wider tyres, bigger more potent brakes and then maybe seats and suspension mods. I'm clueless as to the prices of most parts but labour I generally do myself with my dad. Like brakes are easy and suspension I can do in an afternoon. Always planned to do brakes, tyres, suspension then weight loss. Power always last. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 As above, brakes, suspension, cosmetics (wheels, body parts etc) Rest on stuff that needs checking out and possibly replacing/uprating (clutch, banana arms, etc) Or maybe the other way round Quote
350zedd Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 First off a stubby, then a decent dual exhaust, then some 19" wheels and tyres and I'm already over budget. 1 Quote

Mack Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Brakes, Suspension, Tyres, Track day tuition, Track Days. Fuel, fuel and more fuel. That way you have blown the lot. I have to agree with Alex. Do the basics and start doing tracks days. Keep some money aside initially as if there's is a problem in the car you will find it on the track. Once your happy keep going and see how fast you can be. Rock_Steady Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I'd just get the suspension and handling set up first. New banana arms. drop links, track rod ends and springs/coil overs. Any cash left over could go towards a new exhaust system and perhaps a re-map if there's any left. Quote
