  1. I'd say it'd have a bigger benefit for an SC Zed over NA as more air (& fuel) is even more crucial with FI. My SC Zed has a full APS (tall boy) plenum which along with the CAI, larger injectors, bigger fuel pump, decats and true dual exhaust improves the quantity of air and fuel available to burn - hence more power.
  2. Test fitting a sample would tell you a lot.
  3. Chasing aggressive offsets is really a balancing act - A lot can depend on the design of the rim. An aggressive offset of say et10 or thereabouts would look well but you will need to be prepared to perhaps have to roll the arches or once the suspension compresses the closest car part to the rim will be your arch not your bump stop. That design rim (with a big lip) may not suit your brembos either as the spokes look to be quite close to the hub - spacers neccessary which will put an aggressive offset rim way out past the arches.
  4. Side profile of my Zed as it is at present- My Zed with V2 combined with Nismo front bumper & LMGT's V2 with CF blade on my last Zed-
  5. Very subtle spoiler McGoo - works well with the diffuser/bumper. Nismo V2 for me -
  6. As my Zeds not my daily driver I tend not to fill it and hence try keep good quality fuel in there (without it going off over time). Also quite weight conscious (don't ever carry a spare wheel) and would prefer not to haul around 80kgs of fuel. My DD Murano on the other hand - fill her up and then wait till the light comes on.
  7. Play a bit of rugby myself in the Munster area league and had money on BOD or Bowe for the first try and on Ireland at 13/8 for the win. I think it'll stand to England for the World Cup to have gotten beaten today - they have a good (but not great) team with a lot of strength in depth and it could have been the kick up the hole they needed going into a World Cup.
  8. Thanks mate - I am really going to miss this Zed and its doubtfull I'll ever own a quicker or better sorted car again but need must. On another note this Zed was originally UK registered so there should be no issues with just simply putting back on its UK plates. UK Reg Cert and last MOT test cert - Sample of some of the receipts (theres a huge amount more) - Some of the many dyno printouts in various states of tune - Japanese Performance Cover Car -
  9. Very nice - I like the colour scheme and kit combo you have going there.
  10. Tried them m8! They can do the wheels but no stretch tyres for me :-( Why so wide and why is the stretch so important? Are you saying that rare rims are not prepared to put "narrow" tyres on these rims? What width tyre are you intending to put on a 12inch rim? A lot of questions but just curious.
  11. These guys will have similar to what you are looking for - http://www.eightspeed.co.uk/acatalog/Wh ... ories.html
  12. Thats a good price that Ian is offering his SC kit for - although you'll also need to factor in installation,set-up and mapping costs. And then (if you're anything like me) you'll find out that you need a proper diff to distribute the power, better suspension, better brakes and upgraded clutch/flywheel. Have to say though that a properly sorted SC Zed is light years removed from an NA Zed to drive.
  13. I still have perfect condition ultralight internal Hex lug nuts - can be seen on this for sale thread (spacers still avail as well) - viewtopic.php?f=32&t=38761
  14. Its really just the wide arches and rims that are a bit OTT on that blue Zed - I quite like the chargespeed kit otherwise. I also reckon it'd look much better in the flesh. Maybe we should start a new thread where members could post pics of their own Zed under the understanding that negative comments are allowed as opposed to the usual love-in? I'd be interested in all comments on my Zed - I've a thick skin and understand that my own Zed would not be to everyones taste.
  15. No chance would a 206 GTI reach a genuine 150mph. Does anyone here know from the gearing of the Zed what its theoritical top speed is given sufficent power? I would imagine my 420bhp/354lbft Zed is somewhere north of 170mph. As mentioned though you'd swap the last 50mph for good acceleration on a track day.
  16. I'd be looking for 80GBP + courier of circa 50GBP from Ireland to UK (DHL). I can forward you pics if interested.
  17. I bought a new Kaaz 2 way but converted it to 1.5 way before fitting. yes you get a small bit of scrabble at low speeds at full lock but otherwise you'd never know I had a mechanical diff unless I push on on track days when it really comes into its own. How the diff was set-up (backlash etc) and fluids used will be the key to having a relatively quite diff. IMHO if you are doing trackdays a good diff is better than a supercharger for improving the performance of a Zed on track.
  18. I got a perfect condition blade silver JDM rear bumper - Don't need your nismo V1 front bumper though - already got a spare one of those too.
  19. 30mm is plenty for road use. My Zed is dropped a bit more than that on tein coilovers and I may just crank them up a couple of notches the next time I have it on a ramp.
  20. You could have a 37k mile Zed with 420bhp for less than 15K - viewtopic.php?f=56&t=43364 (shameless plug). If you don't want the bodykit there are plenty of people that would swap + cash for their OE parts although I don't think its OTT.
  21. I have a set of OE skirts in blade silver. Would have to post from Ireland though so postage may exceed cost of item.
  22. Off the top of my head they're just 18inch Rota grids (9.5 rear / 8.5 front) with a fairly aggressive offset of ET18 or ET20 - I've had to roll the arches as the tein coilovers are set fairly low but theres no rubbing even on full lock and full spring compression. TBH the suspension set-up and offset is what mostly contributes to the stance of a Zed - theres no real need to run larger than an 18inch rim - IMO its the optimum size in terms of a balance in performance and looks. As I run a lot of performance mods inc a supercharger sticking a set of 20's on there would be a backwards step IMHO. The fact these 18 inch Rotas weighted less than my previous set of 19inch LMGTs was a bonus as they're relatively cheap and easily got should you ever damage a rim. My LMGTs (albeit a fantastic set of rims) used to give me heart attacks whenever I saw a pothole.
  23. I changed from 19's (LMGTs) to 18's (Rota Grid drift) and I think the 18's provide a better handling/ride comfort balance.
  24. Same here - after several days trying to log-in - unticking "preserve favourites website data" was what worked for me. Thanks for the tip
  25. BUMP - price reduced to 14,950GBP Thats a lot of performance for the money - where else would you get a 419bhp / 354lbft torque ZED with upgraded suspension/clutch/brake/LSD mods that can be driven everyday for this type of money? Need to move this soonish as my missus is going back to work and needs to take my present DD (Murano) so I will take a trade of either a hot hatch (need the rear seats for baby seats) or else a cheaper trackday toy that I can leave in the garage - elise etc (I'd then buy another DD with the change). Now up on pistonheads - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2555596.htm
