  1. Wasn't wasted here, whilst the missus was at her work summer party I was busy washing the chariot that will pick her up, shame it started raining as I was finishing off but still! Also, cracking days golf in the Open and got to watch a bit of it! Now I've got a nice clean Zed to enjoy all weekend and we all like that
  2. Phew, I was thinking Mark Webber!

    350Z vs Z4

I also have a friend who has a Z4 and the interior is definitely nicer although it's a bit trademark BMW for me, i.e. it would fit fine into any Beemer. It's prettier on the exterior as well but that doesn't make it a better looking car in my opinion as I find it it looks a little plain and pretty common but it's all personal taste. Get him to test drive both!
  4. I'm in Reading but that link's not working for me?
  5. Only just seen this. Did you get it or do you still need a hand?
  6. www.home.co.uk should tell you how long its been on the market and how the askign price has changed. www. Zoopla.co.uk should tell you what similar properties have sold for (assumign there are some that have sold recently!)
  7. Congratulations! We can all remember how you feel right now!
  8. Get well soon Sarnie and good luck with the house move Nixy
  9. So this weekend I'd booked a trip away to Dublin with my OH, she used to live in Dublin and loves it over there and I thought that it would be a great place to propose and then yesterday she gets a text from her best friend saying she's just got engaged. So now I know that she won't want to get engaged this weekend because they'd have to share the limelight. I'm now thinking of delaying it for a month or 2 but we're in the process of moving house (read skint!) and she has no holiday so desperately trying to think of new places and ways to propose. I know that there's a church near where we're moving to that she'd love to get married in so I'm thinking there might be a good place and then a picnic nearby afterwards? I'm properly gutted, I'd sorted the ring, got it re-sized asked her dad it was all set up so now I'm hoping that you guys (and gals!) can give me some inspiration... PS. I live in the Reading area so anywhere not too far away would be ideal however if it's a really good idea I'd travel but unusual travelling will make her suspicious! Thanks, Allan
  10. Ok so I'm going to need some new pads for the Brembo's and I'm thinking that the red stuff pads might be the way forward (although I'm still open to others opinions...). I was wondering if anyone knows of (and would recommend!) anywhere around Reading that will supply and fit these? Thanks, Allan
  11. They didn't go right to the end of our road so no sign of the Zed, looked in the office car park but can't see all of it from the road, early start means the Zed's well away from the road at work!
  12. I don't agree, when I was in Asia I often heard them refering to 'Europeans', both in person and being broadcast. Anyway more on topic, good luck with the result of this, whilst I sympathise with some of the more agressive posts on this topic I think that you've handled this the right way, hope it all works out for you.
  13. Ah now I get how you've done it, thanks very much for the extra photo!
  14. Also remember that the newer (post 06) models have road tax of £440 as opposed to £215 for the pre 06 ones...
  15. plugged into rear powersocket via a car charger And is that wire hidden away? I'd be interested to see how that looks, the reason I ask is that I doubt that my car charger would reach that far!
  16. Speaking of Sunday what happened to you? Was expecting to see you at the cafe at the end? Oh and you definitely can have the windows down a little in that weather Personally I think the Zed's worth it and will put up with the fact that it's not great on the commute because let's face it a rush hour commute's not going to be much fun in any car. I'd say hold on to it until the dry weather, hopefully only a month or 2 away and then you'll be in a much better position to make a decision although as Nixy says the Zed puts a smile on my face everyday come rain or shine. But I did buy mine just before loads of dry weather so the thought of that puts a smile on my face although unlike Anubis I did enjoy the drive on Sunday, it's the feeling of the car on the edge of its grip limit going round corners not top end speed that makes me smile. As for the clutch being heavy I think that depends on what you're used to driving, for example when I hop into the Rover and then back into Zed then the clutch, gear lever and the steering all feel heavy but I personally think a sportscar should feel like that. I agree that the New Type R looks better inside and out than the old one and the interior materials feel nice but by all accounts the drive doesn't compare so it all depends on what you want and if that's a compromise you're prepared to make.
  17. You may be spending a fortune on furl but it's probably still cheaper than keeping a woman... Nixy's gonna be adding me to her hit list
  18. That looks really good to me too mate, well done. One question where's the ipod charger plugged in and where does that wire go?
  19. Anyone who's planning on seeing one at their local dealer might want to phone them first, I saw an advert for it in the local paper for this weekend, phoned them up and they didn't know anything about it and they don't have one in stock! Don't rate KJM anyway and if people start turning up to see a car they advertised but don't have (and reckon they won't have for at least a couple of weeks!) then that certainly won't help their reputation. Must say that i like the look of it but not a fan of the beesting, looks a bit remote control car to me, stubby would be a must!!

    Falken 452's

The difference is huge although after the snow the tracking was out so that makes a big difference but even so the amount of grip when turning in is by far the best I've ever experienced in my Zed, all washed now as well. Pic's from tomorrow's run will be posted in due course!
