  2. Happy Days Many thanks for the guide Now I have to muster up the courage to actually attempt this !!!
  3. I'll take one as well, please let me know how you would like payment. Also is there a guide to fit them.
  4. I cant comment on the installation as I installed the unit myself but the customer service was very good. They kept me informed as to when the JVCavx830 I purchased from them will be arriving and answered all my questions regarding the product.
  5. Change the Bose HU, I have recently installed a JVC avx830 and the sound coming from the Bose speakers is such a great improvement

  7. my wife wants a 500 as well after I said there no way she is driving my 350z
  8. I have just installed a JVC avx830 http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/search.asp?criteria=avx830 which has a detachable facia. Its has blue tooth, plays dvds and many more options. But the biggest difference is the quaility of the sound coming from the original bose speakers . I installed this myself and I have never had any experience installing a HU before, quite scary at first but in the end afterwards I had a massive big grin on my face . There are quite a few DIY guides on the net and a member here (yokomo) was great help when I couldnt get any sound from my install !!
  9. might be too late, but pm'd just in case
  10. will write a review once i worked out and played with all the JVC AVX830 options
  11. Thanks Yokomo for his help and advice , finally managed to get the JVC double din HU working ! OMG what a difference this makes to the sound coming out from the original speakers
  12. Thanks yokomo, that makes sense. Now all I have to attemp is connect the HU "subwoofer out" RC output jack lead to the blue "G" lead in the loom brought from sextons ? There a first time for everything and Im willing to try splicing and soldering this.........hope nothing blows up...... I will give that a try and let you know, thanks for all the help yokomo
  13. There is on the back of the HU is "subwoofer out" RC output lead which there was nothing to attach to from the Sexton loom which I thought was a bit strange. Im not really confident enough to spliced the lead up and then manually reconnect it to the loom, do either of you live in south london, im near wimbledon and very willing to trave, any help would be very much appreciate.
  14. Definately have a sub behind driver seat which has BOSE label on it, maybe becuase my 350z a JDM ?
  15. sorry forgot to mention that my 350z has no steering wheel stereo controls have you grounded out the system, if i remember rightly the new headunit needs to be properly earthed against the chassis otherwise you won't get anything. although if you have power and no sound then it can't be that. my guess is its a speaker connection Yes, HU definately grounded and I just cant work out why there no sound
  16. sorry forgot to mention that my 350z has no steering wheel stereo controls
  17. Hi guys I have brought a JVC AVX830 Double din head unit http://jvcmobile.co.uk/product.php?pr=241 for my JDM 350z which has the Bose sound system. I have also brought the following as recommended by a guide done by Rob_Quads. http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/facia_panel/ict/p~50-256.html and http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/adaptor_leads/ict/p~20-260.html Spent this afternoon fixing and connecting all the wires in and it was going along great until I turned the power on and there was no sound.......can you someone give me some advice as to where I've gone wrong ? Have I brought the wrong bose loom ? should it be the PAC ROEM-NIS2 & ICT 20-134 and not the ICT 20-260 ? Thanks Jon
  18. Question guys Would the insurance company need to be notified of this ? I'm asking because every time I do a cosmetic mod the insurance company charges me around £40 to £100 extra
