Short anwer is no it doesnt just come out, Its all one unit. Good news is its not very difficult to remove. There are two screws behind the heater controls panel (See previous how to's but its just a matter of living the coweling and pulling towards you from the gear stick leather boot) one screw below the centre ash tray and 2 screws on the outer side of the centre consol, probably hidden by the seat backs, just slide forward and you will see them.

Right the 2nd two pictures are completely unrelated, that is the secondary fuel sender unit which sits in the fuel tank. I think the cable runs up past the rear cig lighter. Mikey - I think that is the standard JDM wire as it is the same in everyone I have seen. We need to find what the Japs do with this wire, anyone going on Holiday or speak fluent japanese?

Yes that is about right usually between 112 and 122 ish! SLD Speed defensor is required and there are a number of different ones. Think mine was about 230 from big phil, so make sure you are getting the right one. Quite a relatively easy fit just a but uncomfy lying on you back in the passangers footwell, cutting wires on your ECU.

That first picture is nothing like the JDM wiring. The JDM plug is more like a ipod connector

Im a little confused Here mikey, I was under the impression that this couldnt be done JDM bluetooth etc. I would be interested if you care to expand?

That is for the bluetooth adaptor to work with the steering wheel control. Only issue is it does not connect to the adapters sold here!

Quick question does the newer Zed's come with an Oil temp gauge in the middle as apposed to a oil pressure?
