  1. pre setup is fine, i just dont think im ever going to bother altering all the settings, a setting dependant on the track im going to isnt something i need right now, the idea of firming the suspension up and pushing the car further round corners however
  2. Looking at the KW, trying to decide on which variant, it would seem to me that it is mostly the same kit with varying levels of adjustability, as the only thing i want to adjust is the ride height (and probably wont bother with that much either) then surely it makes sense to get variant 1? Has anyone got this? Do the later variants make a significantly better increase in mechanical grip over the variant 1? how hard is it to fit or am i making another 350 mile round trip? thanks MrL
  3. ive got the HR engine, the pressure when cold is about half but soon drops a bit when idle (as you would expect) it never goes above where the symbol on the dial is, about 1 oclock ish?, if that made any sense at all :/ also, +1 on the change of oil, i swapped to motul fully synthetic having been advised to by Opie Oils (site sponsor) and had much the same result as Beavis, no oil used, i also track/drag the car periodically, so i check quite often. Ive just been sensible with it, waited until the temperature is sat where it should be before 'making progress'
  4. when i brought my 56 plate zed the rays were an optional extra... i could of had the standard alloys..
  5. I was in the same boat as you are v recently stanski, i found that the way forwards is to get the wheels with tyres and not care If you followed your head all the time you probably wouldnt be driving a zed now would you the nice people at the bank dont mind at all if you take another month to pay off the credit card, the nice people at esr dont mind when you order stuff from them, everyones a winner?
  6. That was me! The actual figures were: roof down 148, roof up, mirrors in and only in 5th 153. It would only pull 148 in 6th using the space available. The straight at Bruntingthorpe is not long enough to get to 155 so I dread to think how much room you would need to hit 165! Oh and as we are discussing economy I got a fantastic 9 mpg whilst I was there..... Glen good god thats mad talking about speedo inaccuracies at pod my digital speedo read 102 and my timing slip suggested 101 so that wasnt as bad as i expected!
  7. congratz rob!! just need to get ESR to send you some cf ribbon for the zed??
  8. completely independant unbiased viewpoint,
  9. Great minds? they look like the best combination of wheels/tyres/zed i could imagine. nicely done m8
  10. I thought they'd easily do over 30MPG. I was thinking it was down to driving style til you said the Zed does the same. Thats shocking from a 2.0T. My mates Evo gets about 20MPG and that chucks fuel out the back, very literally from the smell! around town the audi was awful, tho fun to drive (to a degree) and v quick throttle response, i had the flappy paddle semi-auto box (dsg??) and loved it, but its the same old case of putting a too higher powered engine in a chassis built for a soot chucker... It was easier to get 36-38 out of the Audi on motorway cruises than the zed (my highest is 35mpg on way to sunderland to save myself some money before seeing the bill ) In contrast i had a 2.0TDI (140bhp) A3 before the petrol and got 60mpg out of that constantly from almost new.
  11. I used to get 24mpg average from my audi (2.0 T) so moving to the zed made no difference really (other than grin factor) maybe you should buy some carbon fibre shoes?
  12. Oh shhh luke lol! I still support that look mainly cause am a lazy sod It will be cleaned/polished/waxed this weekend
  13. Likewise $i pleasure doing business with you too, hope i didnt destroy your eardrums on the way past
  14. ive certianly noticed an increase in mid range pull since having mine fitted. especially in 2nd - 3rd gear changes at about 3.5k rpm upwards, the misses also commented on the difference, I will be at santapod on the 16th August to prove it one way or another with an after mod run, so hoping to beat 14 seconds (pre mod run), if i dont then ill be blaming the amount of pies consumed between going.
  15. good choice beavis, i also have a panasonic plasma and it does look really sweet on it
  16. 22000 here, i dropped geography in school cause the history teacher was better looking, wow was that a poor decision
  17. im very pleased with it, thx for the comments hadnt noticed before but it appears my car is relieving itself in the first picture... just the coilovers to go now and then im hoping to leave it a while!
  18. Well, decided to start modding the zed having told myself it was a perfectly fine car to begin with, im blaming everyone on here for that, although id like to give a special mention to Beavis for the wheels, as I was sold as soon as i saw them, anyway: Plenum Spacer Lower Oil Collector White Reflectors K1 Exhaust 19" Nismo's (with falkens) Bonnet Lifters ESR could not of been more helpful, a big thankyou to you all, especially Phil + Andrew, evidently the misses liked being driven around sunderland in a blacked out lexus, v nice I have had the bungs out of the exhaust and it sounds awesome, put them back in this morning to go to work and it still sounds awesome, the tone has altered slightly since i was 'oop north' last week but just seems to be getting better ! I would suggest anyone wanting a loud exhaust with a great tone to go an check this out, or if your in the w.mids to check the one on my car out. Apologies for the Dirt, didnt have a chance to clean it on the weekend,
  19. not to put a downer on this but ive ran different tyres on front/back before and found that having the worst tyres on the driven wheels to be quite an odd feeling, id take it easy for a month if you do decide to do it, especially going to toyos, the difference is likely to be quite large...
  20. if it is the REVUP engine you will need the lower collector to take advantage of the plenum http://www.importtuner.com/tech/powerpages/0703_impp_2006_nissan_350z_power_pages/lower_manifold_collector.html (ive just had this done on a 56 plate.)
  21. ive seen that quite a few times in warwick too
  22. actually ignore that, my car is still garaged and was in a fiesta
  23. Wasnt me tho i was in leamington last night
