  1. Was up getting some bits from Alex last Thursday and there was a set of wheels in orange, hold on they were more (shout) ORANGE... They look just so good I think after the winter my Rays will go for refurb and come back like that... Black with ORANGE wheels... Understated, I know...

As posted elsewhere, 3G works a treat on plastics, splodge with water and a bit of elbow grease...
  3. Glad to hear you guys ok... The new owners are ripping it, price hikes on track and the cost of Ringworld (it is good to see but not worth the money) and FFS the cost of a T shirt is more than a lap, trying to cut out the local trade by making track testers use their hotels and catering facilities and investing little in comparison on the old track and its facilities... It wont make me stop going but all the comments are true, a day at the Ring is an opening lap then a half hour wait as someone has binned it then another couple of laps where you see an incident or two then another closure, and so the day goes on... You have to give that road a healthy respect just as you would with any road, yes bear in mnd the ramifications of getting it wrong or getting caught up in someone elses mess both personal, financial and legal (the police work to a different set of laws than over here and they will take you away after an accident if deemed needed) and always take your lids, even though it means she has to take less stuff, I'm looking at a cage just now as my next thing (after the lower controll arm, Alex, coming to see you this week)... Its an addiction and it dont matter if you do a 12 or a 9, just doing it is the rush, dont let scary stories put you off... Oh and if you'v not done it, the high jungle jim set just outside Ringworld is a blast...
  4. Just got booked up for "An evening with Nicko McBrain" in Falkirk 11th November...
  5. Prestwick, as said, they done my Mitsubishi so many years ago I forgot they even existed... Spoke to someone I know who says he just had his Scooby done there and likes it so far... But, I cant comment other than that, no harm in going over...
  6. Eschbach it looks like... Is that a play on words... Most fun place on earth, nice pic...
  7. A google search will find sellers... Mind, only go for a legit copy though...
  8. AAAAGGGGHHHH.... The Jap unit has a video input ??? God, to think I'v had this thing in the car all these years thats only contribution to my day is when it says " CD no, Program no, on say day da bashio get a gen a" Can anyone post a pic of the socket on the back of the unit and advice on what I need to plug into it... All help appreciated... Cheers...
  9. Ayr? Is RMS not still open, I mind years ago when I had the Mitsubishi I got a full system made down there, think they do more than exhausts too (didnt back then though)... Web search incoming...
  10. If its the plastic Z badges, the wheel centre caps or the plastic light covers, get a splodge of 3G on a wet cloth (plenty of water) and its just lots and lots of small circles till the scratches or discolouration go... Sorry, its primarily for paint so it will work magic with that but it works on plastics too... My Arthur Exchange centre caps can get in some mess over winter and that brings them up like mirror deep...
  11. I had a similar problem, theres a thread on here somewhere and I think I posted a solution at the time...
  12. Avon ZZ3, are a good sticky tyre in the dry, good high speed stability in the wet (not the best cornering in the wet) and for what you could call a budget price, wear, hard to tell, its all in how you use them, not being cheeky but if you want tyres that last a million miles a Z is not the car to have, I mean, its just too much fun and its just so easy to go a long weekend to the Ring... Give em a try, you'll be amazed...
  13. Just go low and find a garage with floor flush lifting kit... Why compromise...
  14. Send in the bird to catch the spider... But then you have to send in the cat to catch the bird... But then you have to send in the dog to catch the cat... You can see where this is going... LOL...
  15. Nice one, I'm over here all the time when not working, quite a few Z's over this way, a white GTR is the most common these days...
  16. Answer is yes, remove the rubber bung where the fork comes out, cleaned the shaft (there was a serious amount of black gunk came out, old grease and clutch dust) greased it up, closed rubber bung (bastid), jobs a good un... If you need it done Stewart Motor Engineers, Carfin, Motherwell... Hope this helps someone in future... P.S. Have you read some of the @*!# on the American websites, replacing gearboxes and such... FFS, mad...
  17. Hi there, the Z has developed the same problem that lead to the pivot pin in the gearbox to break a couple of years ago, the output shaft (gearbox) must be dry (at least from past experience that's what the symptom is)... Is there an inspection hatch or can I grease it from where the fork goes into the gear box? Cheers...
  18. The first last night about quarter to 6ish, a clean looking blue Z going over the M74 must have been near to the Zoo, I was passing under on the M74 South where the sliproad for the M73 is... Anyway, spotted... The other was a grey or silver coming on to the M74 at Ibrox, juat caught a fleeting glimpse, I was on the bike... Spotted too...
  19. Yet again, near the carvery heading for Kelvin ind est... Very clean...
  20. Best place to play at going round in circles...
  21. Seen quite a few Z's at the Ring this week, only 2 from the UK though, couple from Germany, one Swiss... If any of you were there this week, hope you had fun...
  22. Ha ha... Yea, Blackpool and hire a midget to handcuff to the groom, you can get them for a night, a day or the whole weekend, you can even get them painted blue like a smurf and wearing a nappy... Funny as feck... Handcuffed as in for the whole two days, everywhere, just so so funny...
  23. Yea, you wont beleive Airbourne, they do set out to blow your sox off... I'm kicking myself too coz I didnt make Priest, I mean even choosing which gig to go to, Maiden or Priest, I'ts like choosing which nut to cut off so I let someone else make the decision... So wanted to do both but going over to the Ring next week and every penny (or 24 euro) is a prisoner... Maiden are by far the best live production there is and my ears are still ringing, cant wait for the DVD...
  24. Outstanding gig, nuf said... Support act, Airbourne, have more energy than an atom bomb in a uranium casing...
