  1. Just back from Egypt, 7 day Nile cruise, fantastic... Weather hot, boat excelent (it was 5*+ though), sights awsome built on the scale of gods, only negative was the hand out everywhere and the calls of "you buy, only two pounds" and the phrase "cheaper than Asda" but you get used to that quickly and it certainly didnt detract from a great holliday... Boy racer's car of choice was the old Hyundai Sonnata, ha ha... Did I say it was hot...
  2. A really nice shade of blue in Bellshill (it wasnt blue... It was BLUE...) and a two tone silver/black in Nitshill... Hi there...

    Tyre Help

Sorry, I feel like a broken record but we all have our choice... For the money your spending on those wooden Chineese hoops you could be running about on a set of Avons, the ZZ3 really are a good tyre, better than the price suggests...
  4. geraghtyr200, I took them off mine, looks better that fat ar5e and wide tyres, I wasnt, and still arnt sure about the style with them on. I mean they are part of the kit but just look so out of place, every so often I take them out of the garage to try on again but when I stand and look at them, they come off again, sorry, not for me...
  5. Might not be the same thing I'm thinking of but I cot my stop/tail from Halfords, it was a flat blade type bulb and there bright as ffffff...
  6. Pass... But... After a little investigation with Google, I would say Sunset...
  7. In a lay by just outside Kelvin Estate...
  8. Fletch, you stole my tip but yea, you'r in the know... WD40 and the green bit from a dishwashing pad, excelent cleaning and fast...
  9. Wow, your car looks just like mine... Cept your number plate is different...
  10. Hand or machine? I always wax by hand (snarf snarf) but I see a few of these pollishing machines out there, are they any good and do shops use them now or are they a thing of the past???

    Speedo

Dont use the speedo, just set the right hand dash pod to read the speed, its accurate as tested against both me Garmin Zumo and the older Street Pilot...
  12. The little trip I mentioned would take you say, 800 miles (on the Continent), if you get 250 miles to your £65 of V-Power you will be roughly 4 tanks in fuel (not including lap time at the Ring) and, without being rude, your going on a budget so your not going to be eating at the Ritz, theres plenty of places to get good food for not much, just look out for places between towns (when at the Ring, head to Breidscheid, theres a Snelly just under the bridge, the best food you will eat the whole trip)... Theres loads to see and do all round that area, Stavelot theres a motorsport museum, Henri Chapelle is an American war cemetery (theres one at Bastoign too) Berntkastle in Mosel Valley a mad collection of buildings, you know, I have been going to Nurburgring for over ten years now and it wasnt till last year I even knew there was a castle there. For spectating, go round to Pflansgarten (plenty of parking and great for action), you could even take a detour to Zolder on the way back and on the way down, instead of Amsterdam theres Maastricht, the high street there has all the big names, TK Maxx, Intersports, Blowjobs 20 Euro, its mad but socially acceptable... Traveling to Europe isnt a major thing, just be prepared and it will be fine... Oh yes, talking of fines, be prepared to shell out if caught speeding, in France at least, had warnings in Belgium and Holand, they seem to be more tolerant there, Germany, never had a problem... Ha, funny though in Italy have been fleeced by the Carabinieri twice in 10 miles (they were so open about just wanting Euros) later we came flying up behind some cars only to find the blue and white car sitting in the inside lane, we pulled in too only to have him pull out and draw up beside us, the guy in the passenger side waving us like a madman to go faster, which we did... Go figure... Have fun and let us know where you got to...
  13. 700 quid? Tunnel, head for Brussels (to play in the miles of tunnels under the city) then on to Bastogne for lunch in the square (by the tank) brfore heading up to Malmedy to stay a night (plenty of nice hotels and places to eat). Next day, a look round Spa Francorchamps, down the road into Piesport (a fantastic set of mountain hairpins down to Mosel valley), along to Chochem for fuel then North to the Ring for a couple of days... Theres just too many good roads to choose from all round this area, I'm over twice a year and it just gets better every time...
  14. Container Parks, Paisley and Kirkintilloch, ask for John or Jixa for much cheapness... A bit far for you but its a bit of sales PR...

She looks a cheeky wee thing...
  16. Trade it in for a Prius... Sorry, just re read the subject, thats not what I would do...
  17. AVON ZZ3's for the road ZZR for the track)... Way way more grip than most, have used them on track too (Knockhill, Croft + Nurburgring), the're a nice soft compound and of course the're British tires, made in Britain by British people for you to go that little bit quicker...
  18. Tis rude not to post a reply... The verdict is.... Its not Slayer but its ok... Here, is she not the good ship Kipperminge?
  19. The TV... There are three antena (anteni) on the car, the normal FM and two on the windscreen, aparently the TV unit switches between them to get the best signal...
  20. Sometimes the only thing people understand is a smack in the mouth... Just dont get caught or you be jankers...
  21. I never use the speedo, rather I use the electronic guage in the dash pod, I have tested this against me Garmin Zumo and the speed on it is accurate to 1mph... You really need it derestricted if going to the continent, feck, even Picasso's sit ton plus on German roads... If only they knew what was underneath them...
  22. Can you post details of your Carputer install, I have had the Z for a year and a half and am quite fed up with Jap stuff that dont work, its a shame though coz the car is fully loaded with every tech gadget on the options list, I would love to have the buttons do something, thats off the subject I'm asking about but shows my fustration at the design... Yes, mondo info required, I have read up on this but still no farther forward, actually seeing something that works and looks good would spurr me on to spend the dosh... Cheers...
