  1. No, it died when on the move, went to change up and the foot just went straight to the floor, no noise, no bang, no smell, just no drive, knocked it into neutral right away and coasted the half mile to where I knew there was a lay by, no drama... Its the why and how to fix it now but as said with no fluid drops its hard to say what has gone, the symptoms suggest slave... Cant be just low, the fluid must have went somewhere...
  2. Where is the slave cylnder located? I have the same symptoms, clutch pedal hits the floor with no resistance and stays there... The odd thing is theres no pool of fluid anywhere I can see, I would have expected something, the fluid is halfway below the minimum and the bottom pipe so the fluid has gone somewhere... What kind of timescale am I looking at to change it? Not good...
  3. Sorry, it was Wednesday you saw me? What day is this... I'm alive and well... Where am I...
  4. Hm... I saw 2 Z's on Tuesday, a black one and an orange one on the other side of the cariageway... As the black one was the only one of the two to see my rear, I just put 2 + 2 together... Thats not good, I think I'm quite observant but missed you, were you in a Z ? Where was I ?
  5. GNR, thats me... I'd heard there was another black Z in Smalltown but that was the first day I saw you (I did flash the oranges to say hello)... Nice to have another black Z in the area, now theres reasonable doubt... Ha ha... Catch you out there...
  6. We go every year, both car and bike... £ 160ish bike on the ferry, car £ 360ish, thats going Newcastle to Ijmuiden (just north of Amsterdam). We go different places each year, even south of France over the Swiss Alps but this year I go in July (on bikes with the mates) and when I get home I park the bike, bags in the car and go over with the wife... Our usual first day on the Continent is down to the Shell / Mcdonalds 83 miles south, after that break its on to Zolder Circuit a few miles away. We make our way through Haccourt to Henri Chapelle War Memorial (stunning but sad to see) from there its down to Spa (the town), over to the track then on to Malmedy via the Eupen road just for the mountain twisties into the town... From Malmedy the roads heading down to Bastoign are cracking and again from Bastoign over to Mosel Valley, brill fun. Mosel is relaxed sweepers and when you get to Cochem (fuel stop) head north to the Ring. As said, Ringhaus is the place to stay, its close to the track and you often meet the most interesting people from the world of motorsoprt... Enjoy the track, give it and those on it respect, but enjoy it, thats what its all about, you having fun. Dont race or drive outside your means and all will be well. If you'r not familiar with track driving in the wet then DONT do it coz it will bite you, simple as that. Best thing to do is arrange a few track nights leading up to your trip so you at least know what its like on track... Feck, cant wait now...
  7. Just to update, we changed the plugs on Saturday, the were burning ok but the ceramic ouyer was failing, dont know if that was the problem or something that was cured in the process of doing them but crossed fingers, all well. Oh, del had checked the coils when they were out and all read good values, whatever they are so looking good...
  8. Ok, so problem not solved... Same three lights yesterday, code P0350 which is listed as primary/secondary coil circuit??? Thats the only code this time... Any ideas? Was going to change the plugs anyway so this will let me get the coils out and check the connectors, is there a way to check the coils, if it was an individual coil would that not show up on its own code? Engine is lumpy, feels off balance... Will search the forum but just thought I would post anyway... Cheers...
  9. Going home from the footy I had a slide going round a bend (caused by a hump in the road, its a cracking corner) heading for the motorway, when I booted it out and on to the carriageway I got the yellow engine light, the VDC light and the slip light all on at once... Car was running, just the lights were on, I took it easy anyway... We hooked it up to the computer and got code P0350 (ignition thinngy, Del told me but I didnt understand) and code C1130 (engine sensor or something), I dont know, its all smoke and mirrors with mechanics, bottom line when e had a look it turned out to be the plug at the MAF (whatever that is) was loose... Car ok but at the time my heart went, I thought I'd broke it...
  10. JDM's no have heated mirrors but I'm sure theres a post on here for adding it... Instead we get auto fold mirrors when locking, UK cars no got that but I'm sure theres a post on here for adding it... So, while different, we can be all the same...
  11. As said, last night 17:40, by the Watermill heading towards Johnstone... And clean... How do you guys do it... I wash and clean the wheels and next day its as bad as ever...
  12. Crazy but exhilarating, this year in Europe, Swiss Alps, Passo Della Noverna, at the top of the pass, by the cabin there are 3 flag poles at the edge of the cliff. It was a windy day so I stood with my toes on the edge (bad enough) and leaned forward into the wind...
  13. No, that wont work... But... I would love to meet the Amy thats in the car... "CD no, program no, on say day da bashio get e gen a"... Yea, I know...
  14. Last night about quarter to six just by Tesco, was a JDM... I had a slow drive past, the car was clean and I must say the kit looks good in white...
  15. I run AVON ZZ3, fantastic grip, not bad in the wet either, much better than the Michelin Pilot Sports (big slides, aaagh)...
  16. No, a blue coupe, looked like standard Rays alloys and... Very clean looking... I washed mine yesterday and ita a mess already...
  17. Memories... Albeit not as quick as that... By a long way... How the little slide going into Adenaur and the one at the Swallows Tail was dealt with as it was nothing, AAAAAGGHH... Adenaur for me is a busy time, a place not to slide, slow in quick out, I know my limitations...
  18. Its nice to see another Z on the way to work...
  19. Stewart Motor Engineers, Carfin, Motherwell is the place, Newarthill side of the roundabout at the top of Jervy... Theres a couple of us with Z's... Ever been to Ashgill? I wouldnt park a concrete block there let alone a car... Yea, I know, why would anyone want to go to Ashgill...
  20. Oddly enough, I dont live in motherwell... But thats where me mates garage is, in Carfin (the place to go for tyres (Avons), just tell im Jixa sent you), I'm there Saturday mornings, the coffee machine is always on, pop in some time... P.S. You will no doubt have seen the black GTR that skulks about Motherwell, nice...
  21. Me mate Del has an old 928 in for some work, it sounds so hot I almost wet myself... The car is best left in the memory as its a dog by modern standards, but that engine... Will get a recording or vid in the next few days...
  22. What a bore... Its a fekin Z... Who gives a fek what the fuel economy is like or what its doing to the planet, just keep feeding it petrol and give it large, your only here once, enjoy it...
  23. Birds are stupid... I hit this in Belgium a couple of years back on the bike, it flew out of the bit that separates the carriageways and looked like it was going to make it, I was doing 130 at the time but got it down to about 80 before the bike hoovered it in. Steering was ok so just waited till the next services to get rid of it.
  24. Ba5taard child of a Supra and an R8... I just wet myself...
