  1. Of course, I'm guessing we're all just assuming that we'd be these amazingly beautiful women for this magical day swap, not some fugly old munter
  2. S'okay, I suspect that Twobears already has a pretty good idea of what it's like to be a woman for a day
  3. GPMSL I'd go and buy some sexy underwear. Women get all the best underwear which means they can look like a bag lady on top, but be feeling like an utter slut underneath. I imagine that's a very powerful feeling.
  4. A small V6 with an SC would be my ideal, but you know that they'll go with a 4-pot turbo.
  5. Makes sense. No-one has bought the 370Z in anywhere near acceptable numbers due in part to the fuel economy and the CO2 banding as well as the cost in a recession, despite it being a better car than the 350Z. There's a market there for a car that's the same size as the BRZ86, but with more poke as most people are put off owning the Toyobaru because of the 0-60 time.
  6. Won't make any noticeable difference, I run everything on 97 and it's just as good as any 99 I've tried.
  7. Have you seen the prices of 20" tyres? That may make you consider selling them and putting some sensible size ones on sooner than you think
  8. The guest stars used to bug me something chronic. You could tell when they were going to do a guest episode, as the episode before it would be filled full of flashbacks and re-using old clips so they could save the money to pay the guest.
  9. To be fair I've not watched it for a while, but IIRC the laughter was real on Friends and not canned. Yes, people actually found it that funny.
  10. Good point, but then you could also argue it's actually a £30K car so parts should be looked at in that aspect. My trouble is that I see so many people pouring £5K+ into the car to make it heavier and slower by adding all the pretty bits, and that makes me die a little inside You can't really see them unless you take the wheels off, mine are the standard silver I didn't know they did different colours They do make a nice difference to the feel of the brakes ^^^This. Get the plain ones.
  11. I wouldn't say that at all, they are expensive but not OTT for road use. When you start getting into BBK stuff then that's overkill IMHO, but a seriously good set of discs and pads in OEM sizes aren't.
  12. I'll watch Friends if it's on, but it's not and never was something I'd go out of my way to watch. It's perfect Sunday morning hangover telly IYSWIM.
  13. Sorry, yes, Performance Friction and I sourced mine from Alex as well, although I ran them with PF pads (01 compound front, Z compound rear but on stock discs). Transformed the car.
  14. Buy the absolute best brakes you can afford. Two-piece discs will save you weight at the exact place you need to be saving it, so a 1KG saving there is worth a 5KG saving anywhere else on the car (it's why light wheels are worth a fortune!). I would consider any extra cost very much money well spent. I used the PF two-piece discs on mine and they were absolutely immense, however the DBAs would be my next choice if the PFs weren't available. Get the brake hoses done as well if you haven't already done so while you're there (very little extra labour needed) and some good fluid in there and it will make a huge difference to the car as a whole. If you can stop quicker then you can go quicker, and if you weigh less you can corner faster.
  15. Coupling is one of the single greatest TV shows ever. The Giggle Loop and The Melty Man rule my life.
  16. They are and I'd love one, but not for that kind of money. No exhaust is worth that IMHO unless you're trying to save every last little bit of weight for racing.
  17. I never showed you the bill for the 911 exhausts, did I? Makes that seem cheap Go look up the price of the Tubistyle Veyron exhausts, will make you feel a whole lot better

Read the wording of your own insurance to be sure, but usually it will state something like "Any modification that differs from the manufacturer's standard model" or some other legal jibberish. Basically if it was an option or you've stuck it on afterwards, then tell them. The worst they can do is charge you extra for it, at best they'll just say they don't care at all.
  19. Any of the major plate traders (RegTransfer etc) will be able to do this for you, although you'll pay more as they'll want their cut too. In theory you could try and convince the DVLA to release the owner's details for you, but whilst your reason is genuine I doubt they'll give you what you're after due to their strict rulebook.
  20. Go for some resonated decats then, if you don't want the raspy sounds. Personally that's what I'm going for on the MX-5, and the end pipe will be left as plain as can be so I can bolt any old sounds reducer onto it for trackdays. If I go by when the car was registered in this country then I need cats too, but if I point the MOT tester to the VIN number and ask them to look it up on their system they won't be able to find it and I can go catless I take it you've sorted all the spark issues and the leaky gasket things?
  21. Remove all cats. Install straight through pipes. ??????? Profit.
  22. Waiting for the missus to go to bed so I can carry on playing ME3
  23. Ignoring anything dull like living things or photos, I'd be grabbing: 1. My lucky black drumsticks 2. My Wusthof chef's knife 3. My collection of 1:18 model cars
