I thought everyone knew this. It's an absolute offence, which means if you do 30.000001mph you can still be prosecuted. No copper in the land is going to stop you for doing 75mph on a motorway, assuming you're not driving like a bellend. A camera on the other hand won't care quite so much. I still have no idea why people do 80mph+ on the motorway, or speed inside 30 and 40 limits. No point and is just asking for trouble.

Admiral & co do, and they also charge you extra for the privilege of not having your mods covered like for like I'm with the insurers on this one. More people who mod their cars crash them, so it's fair that premiums should be increased. Personally I'd like to see car insurance state-run and then not for profit, so premiums should be significantly lower. Of course, that would then mean we'd be dealing with civil servants instead of claims advisors and I'm not sure I'd wish that on anyone!

The 453s. The 452s didn't replace the 912s, they were sold alongside each other: The 912s being the standard tyre, the 452 being the sporty one. I use both terms in their loosest possible meaning

I've used A048s and Neova LTS spec before. Very nice. I looked at the Advan Sports when I had the Zed, but the PS2s were the same price and a better tyre IMHO.

Bin it and buy something better. Or the hack, although I've yet to hear the sound quality on that. First to say 'tape adaptor' or 'FM transmitter' gets a boot in the botty.

912s are for shopping trolleys, not for sportscars. I wouldn't even bother putting them on. VUS are a million times better, and give incredible feedback for their price. Not that grippy, but because you can feel the loss of traction coming you have more confidence in them.

I doubt there's that much difference tbh. I would expect the 370 to be more fun with the higher rev-range and shorter wheelbase, although you can get past the first bit by buying a HR 350.

New Clio RS is five door only, old Clio RS was a three door only. Still a predecessor.

Definitely. Also, can't remember what year your car is Don but I wouldn't run tyres that are 5+ years old on anything. If they're the originals then I would certainly consider binning them ASAP and getting new ones on there, even if it means dropping the cash on a card for a month. Better than then in a ditch

FWIW I'd get some VUS on there if you can find stock, they're a much better tyre than the outgoing FK452. I don't think anyone's tried the 453 yet, might be worth giving them a shot instead.

Running AC makes surprisingly little difference to the MPG. Try it for a tank or two, I very much doubt you'll notice any difference at all (apart from being able to see out of the glass!).

New Scirocco is much prettier than the old one. Whether it has as much personality as the old one is up for debate.

I've seen far sicker stuff than that. Hell, only last week I caught a bit of a Justin Bieber concert on telly. I turned over as quickly as possible, but still my mind is scarred with the images and sounds. Kids cry at fluffy toys if you give them a scary voice. Kids cry when you give them broccoli. More people buy BMWs than any other car, so you see more of them on the road. By the same reasoning, that means that a greater percentage of numbnuts on the road will be driving a BMW.
