  1. I dunno, anyone would think that people might be working between half two and half five
  2. You have absolutely no clue about the products you sell, do you? 1. Clearly not illegal, just nowhere near the manufacturer specs. But of course, I'm sure you know better than them. I bet you don't even make sure the tyres are the same type all round, either. 2. If they're run out of spec, then they're wrong as well. I don't differentiate between idiots who own cars privately and idiots who sell them for a living. 3. And you would be able to answer that question accurately? Because you really should be able to if you're so sure that it's fine. 4. Not that we need an excuse, or feel the need to show off, but you have made it fantastically easy for us to do so. 5. No. It would look as retarded as your replies have been. You're clearly prepared to scrimp and not worry about something very basic and obvious as the tyres, so what else are you scrimping on? Okay, I'm out. Who's next for a go?
  3. Oh I would beg very much to differ
  4. Squashy looking tyres? That's a new one on me! All tyres with the same size profile will look the same, unless they're a particularly good brand like Michelin or Bridgestone that have rim protection on them. Even then, one wouldn't look more squashy than the other Also, 452s have soft sidewalls, which is why you need to up the pressure slightly when running them. Crazy idea, but if you get on Camskill NOW, you could order a single tyre to be delivered there tomorrow, and just run on the spare until then. Surely that's the best idea, and saves you money too? Please don't make me break into a rant about mixed tyres again, I've been so good lately T1Rs and 452s are dead tyres now, you're only prolonging the inevitable if you can find one in those sizes. VUS are gone too, so I'd go with the RE050A if you want a decent sidewalled tyre but without the cost of the MPSS.
  5. Given your car history, that's a good reason not to buy it
  6. Can't compare pre'06, but my Revup ragtop and my brother's HR tin top sounded the same, at least with the roof up. Drop the roof and you lose a little bass, but that's to be expected. Clarity otherwise was the same.
  7. Nuke the entire site from orbit, only way to be sure
  8. We should just ban religion, all of it. Having imaginary friends always leads to trouble.
  9. Do people really buy cars without checking insurance costs first?! Massive cojones, fair play! That quote sounds pretty fair, given your driving history.
  10. We were also a tribal nation. We grew and learnt. Why shouldn't we help out if possible? If you start it, you have to finish it, however long and however much money it takes. If you don't, then as pointed out you're back at square one. All the hand wringers who think we should never have gone there in the first place and should get out ASAP might well want to consider that. Just because a viewpoint is popular, doesn't make it the correct move.
  11. Noooo sorry, I didn't mean it like that! What I really meant more was that everyone has stated everything obvious that I could possibly say about the car, so I had nothing else to add about the car itself. Please don't stop talking about this on my account, I've got a terrible head cold at the moment so my meaning is all over the place Good luck dude, I wish I had the balls to buy something like that.
  12. Please use the search, this topic has been covered many times. You're looking for turbo or supercharger or FI as search terms.
  13. I'm guessing he's going to get Samco or SFS to make some up to his spec and colour
  14. LHD really isn't a problem, certainly no worse than RHD when you drive across the water Often makes overtaking easier in some places too. I don't think there's anything more I or anyone else could add to this thread really. We all know the pros and cons of a Mustang, and you know what you're getting when you buy one. Only other things to consider are parts, which are scarily well priced and easily available due to the fondness we have over here for the 'Stangs, and how easy they are to work on. I'd still want to find a specialist near me though, just in case.

    Opinions Please

Ooh dear god no! Would look horrendous IMHO.
  16. My thoughts too. The new financial fair play rules look pretty good at sorting this, fingers crossed.
  17. Agreed. A player on £200K p/w I can understand (even if they'll only see less than half that), but agents getting £Ms for negotiating transfers? Crazy. Probably worth thinking about the fact that the FA are hugely incompetent, and half the reason the national team isn't very good is his the game is run from grass roots level.
  18. I don't think there's a more decent and honest man in football than Beckham. In time, I suspect we'll look back on him with the same fondness we do for Bobby Robson. Just a shame that when his career is over he won't try his hand at management, but then his football schools are a pretty good cause too.
  19. Yup, no reason not to tell your insurer. They don't make the car non road legal, they just mean it may or may not pass an MOT. Personally I still wouldn't bother unless FI as gains are minimal but noise can be horrendous, but each to their own. I run a decat on the MX-5, but that doesn't need one for an MOT anyway and it wasn't any louder at all than the restrictive stock cat.
  20. Gfx card comparisons are irrelevant now, I think. The huge leaps between card revisions we used to get years ago (5800 Ultra Hoover, anyone?) just aren't there anymore, and even cards costing £150 can run Crysis et al at fantastic settings at 1080p. Perhaps this is because of the shift towards developers programming for consoles and then PC ports just getting a few extra whizzy settings that in practice do nothing other than give e-peen boasting prowess of 60fps @max settings, I don't know, but certainly paying £1000 for a dual SLI setup doesn't give the gains of previous years. I left PC gaming years ago because the more rounded experiences were to be found on the consoles for the games I enjoy, and there's nothing there now or in the future that could tempt me back. What we need from the next gen consoles isn't super whizzy graphics, although that's always nice, it's different experiences. I doubt we'll get it for the first couple of years, but make no mistake this is a critical time for gaming and the manufacturer that leads the march towards 5-min social or cloud-based experiences will be very successful. Which is a shame.
