  1. Depending on which Impreza we're talking about, they're not necessarily light cars. Certainly anything bugeye and onwards weighs about 1500kg, it's only the early cars that were about 1200kg.
  2. BAN THE HEATHEN
  3. I read the title as 'serious mood now' and thought I was in for a top quality rant I was watching the guys at Tesco car wash give a new SLK a going over today, it was painful to witness the amount of swirls they must've put into the paintwork
  4. Dave & Davina surely I said 'Ayrton' and 'Senna', works with both sexes if you pretend that you don't know that Ayrton is a blokes name.
  5. This is my favourite thread of the week so far. If you thought it was so slow after test driving it, then why did you buy it?
  6. Praise be, the video no longer plays! You sir, get my 'Most Awesome Person Of The Day' award. And lols at the stopped screen cap
  7. Even if it had been tracked, it should still be fine. A tracked car that's been well looked after will be a better car than a road one that's been abused.
  8. For the cost of a new filter (and I mean just the filter, not the whole kit) and the risk of overoiling and damaging the much more expensive MAF, I'd just change the filter for a new one and be done with it. £50 a year isn't going to break the bank, and it'll arguably give better filtration than one you've cleaned up yourself.

  10. What went bang? What actually happened? I very much doubt you'll get anything out of Nissan, but no harm in asking. Maybe they'll want the unit to look at to see where it failed?
  11. And best of all, other peoples' kids too when they get dumped on him in the spirit of "Oh, our kids are such good friends!"

    Pilot super sports

Give it a couple of hundred miles, should be fine by then.
  13. Brilliant, nothing like lying through your teeth to make a point, eh? Cretinous action, I hoe you get caught one day.
  14. Pics? Given that it is signed, and as it's a dead end then it would make sense to only put these on the entrance, then I'd pay the £35 and move on. If you think about it logically, and take it to the final conclusion which is in court, what is your reason for thinking that you shouldn't have to pay?
  15. Before you did the last bit, did you have to put your testicles back on?
  16. I don't mind a big day fiddling with cars as long as I'm prepared for it. Gone are the days where I'll just pop out for a few hours doing a couple of little bits, now it's all or nothing. Even washing the car doesn't take less than 4 hours as I'll always do a proper job. I tend to drive more than fiddle these days. Best way, I reckon.
  17. Mondeo estate + something cheap with 2 seats is the way to go I reckon. You'll never be driving quick with the kids in the car so might as well just get something solid that won't let you down, and then grab something sporty but cheap for when you fancy a hoon by yourself.
  18. SNELL2000, 2005 & 2010 are all currently approved, as is BS6658-A F/R. The current Blue Book warns that SNELL2000 and BS6658-A F/R may be withdrawn, after the 2014 season and the 2015 season respectively. Nicked from a post on PH as I can never remember the correct codes As long as it's one of those you'll be fine, even if TDOs suddenly start getting very strict. Bike helmets are designed for one impact then a slide, car helmets are designed for multiple impacts, plus theres the fire rating to be aware of (will be much lower/non existant in a bike helmet). I personally wouldn't risk it, you've only got one head after all.
  19. 1. My current 911 (no really, I can't think of a good reason to change it) 2. Elise S1 with Honda SC conversion (track fun) 3. 535d estate (for barging) Covers all bases.

    Zed v's Supra

Funny, that was the exact same thing I thought when I saw that pic. Check out the difference in the front overhangs!
  21. It'll be fine, just don't leave it on for too long. It's unprotected chrome that it'll eat into.
