  1. Yup, definitely the fact you've moved the steering wheel.
  2. Pedantry is the new Beats By Dre. Cool at first, but ultimately everyone just think you're a tw*t. The worst part? I bloody love pedantry! *high fives Hugh*
  3. Amazeballs is totally allowed! I use that all the time.
  4. Someone want to know whether they should get a front wheel alignment only or a full geo. I went full geo, with the above remark.
  5. It's okay, it was a Porsche forum. Full of w*nkers. W*nkers like me
  6. I just used the "Do it nice" line in a completely non-ironic or sarcastic way on another forum. NOOOOOOOOOOO
  7. Well yeah, don't get it anywhere it's clearly not supposed to go. Tbh a decent low-temp grease like the Castrol LM1 (or whatever it's called these days) would be the best thing, but WD will do a job on this.
  8. Oddly I've been looking at Evoras a lot in the last week, as a possible next car. I don't know why, but they seem a bit prettier than I used to view them as. A good MY12 NA Evora in Red would be my pick
  9. When a car is that ugly, a possible dodgy paint match would be the last thing on my mind! /unhelpful_post
  10. Pfft, it just needs a little lube is all. A roof that's a rarely used is a roof that will have sticky mechanisms, so get in there and spray some WD40 or whatever on all the slidey bits. I used to drop mine in all sorts of temps, and it never ever gave me an issue. The more you use these things, the better.
  11. Durametric won't give you overrevs, you need the PIWIS for that and buying that is a bit pricier I wouldn't trust PCGB as far as I can throw them with regards to backing someone on overrevs, so definitely get a readout before you take delivery of ANY manual car from any dealer, OPC or otherwise. I was only kidding about buying a demo, it wouldn't put me off at all. A press car may be a different matter, mind you...
  12. Brave man buying a demo car, I know how the test drivers drive those things If it's a manual then make sure you get a rev range read out before buying. They'll tell you it's unnecessary, but it will massively protect you in case you have issues later down the line. No need for that if you go PDK though.
  13. Sadly no, only the CR. I'd like to have a go in one, but to get the most out of it you need to drive a version with no aircon, sat nav, leather etc else you're just putting weight back in and missing the point. For me, that's a Porsche I'd like to drive but not one I'd actually like to own. I like my toys in my Pork
  14. I don't see why they should allow any grace at all, tbh. Why 5mins? Why not 10mins? Why not an hour? Why don't people buy a ticket that actually lasts the length of their intended stay in the first place? As with speed cameras, the simple truth is that if people didn't take the mick and try and flout the rules then no-one would ever have reason to complain.
  15. I would expect the Motordyne to be fine, tbh, and you can bung it easily if needs be.
  16. Yes. TLOU is good but I got frustrated at the poor save system and dodgy controls, GTAV feels very natural to me. Completed the main storyline at the weekend, loved it. First GTA game I've ever completed off my own back, too!
  17. Ah, I see. If it were my money then I'd definitely consider a manual 2.7 with some toys over a poverty spec 3.4 PDK, especially if buying from new. Just don't expect to get away with minimal depreciation on these! If you're interested, I'd consider the following to be a must-have: PCM3 Sat nav Sports seats Plus Sport design steering wheel Sports exhaust Anything else would be down to taste (and any worry about resale value), but I wouldn't have a car without those.
  18. True, I've never heard a Crapspeed version. I wouldn't have thought there would be that much in it though, volume wise? I don't know though.
  19. If they want to reduce premiums, then reduce IPT. Simple as, but they can't because they need the money.
  20. It's an excellent piece of kit, it really is. Left in auto it'll get to 7th quick as, and return great MPG. Pop it into Sport auto (where I tend to leave it) and it's absolutely perfect, never caught out on gear and adapts all the time if you're pressing on or pootling. Sport Plus is just mental for the road and best left for the track, however Sport Plus and manual mode gives lightning-fast changes with the little thump in the back at WOT, and is how I drive the car when on a blat. It can be a bit clunky on the very first 1-2 shift on a cold morning, but then the oil is stone cold so to be expected. Other than that, it's flawless. It's even quicker on the 9x1 cars.
  21. 800x480 res is going to look a bit sh*t. You'll have to add VAT + import duty to the price as well, plus you'll have to return it to HK if anything goes wrong with it at your cost. Buy something decent instead.
