Just fit the O2 spacers, they're like £30 for the pair. Having your CEL light on is daft, as if you have a real issue you'll never know about it.

They do not invalidate insurance. If they did, then the insurer would cancel your policy when you told them you fitted them. Which of course, you would do because you're not silly. Would you expect your insurance to be void if you had a crash with a knowingly blown head light bulb? Or a broken wing mirror? Or any number of different things which is an MOT fail but not declarable?

Wouldn't worry about it. If they want the car then they'll get the car, as long as you're careful with the keys then I'm not sure I'd bother with anything else.

Looks like you can get them in multiple offsets, so you should be able to pick one that will work with the Zed.

What offset are those?

The 370 has a shorter wheelbase than the 350, so is going to feel a bit livelier/twitchier on the road than the M3. That said, the 370 isn't renowned for being the most agile of cars so I wouldn't worry too much about that. In every way that matters, the M3 is the better car. Better engine, better interior, better drive. And yet, when I moved on from the 350 I bought an E92, hadn't even picked it up and I knew it wasn't the right call, and so got my deposit back and bought something else. Truth be told, it didn't excite me at all, despite being an amazing car. The 370 also leaves me cold, so that may not be saying much. Drive them both and make up your own mind, they're very different and I suspect you'll gravitate towards one or the other very quickly.

I'd ignore that: Unless you were doing it every single day, then it would be classed as an unfair contract term and dismissed in court. As you say, there's plenty of reasons you might not always have the car in the garage overnight and as long as it was the exception rather than the rule, it would not be reasonable for the insurer to reject a claim.

I'd rather pay more and have my car in a garage than less and have it on the road.

STi 2.0L engine and 'box are very solid. It's the WRX 'box that's weak, and the later 2.5L engine.

Evo is going to be the quickest. Impreza will make the nicest noise, and the handling is sublime. R33 is the one all the kids with backwards baseball caps will call wikid. I'd have the Impreza, but then I've had one before (blobeye, same as the one you posted) and loved it. Even with 'just' 320bhp, that was plenty quick enough for the road.

I don't like red Zeds. I do, however, love that car. Credit to the owner.
