  1. So what size are the tyres again? Are you planning on a full coilover conversion? Be aware of the issues regarding the rear mounts.
  2. No you don't (I don't work at a VW dealer). Your individual dealership may offer that service (why?!), but there's no legal framework that states that. Unless you have a copy of the advert, which states clearly that it was a 300 model, then you're on a hiding to nothing here unless the dealer has a sense of honour and integrity. It'd be your word against his in court, on the balance of probabilities. You may get lucky, but you may not.
  3. Where does the redline start on the rev counter? If it's 6500 it's a non-revup car, if it's 7000 then it's a revup car. Your car is very close to the cut off date for the revups.
  4. Does it have a tiger sticker under the bonnet?
  5. Sounds like standard UK non-GT model to me. Leather seats and Rays are easy to add.
  6. True, but then you're screwed if something happens during transit.
  7. What are the exact tyre sizes you're looking at? You could end up with a bigger arch gap.
  8. Leave it. Black plenum would kill the contrast, polished would take the attention, and it's well balanced with the silver covers.
  9. Daft question, but why are you putting the car into neutral? No idea on why it should stall though. Idle might want bringing up a touch, or a clean of the MAF couldn't hurt.
  10. I tend to use the rule of dollars to pounds. Works out about that once you've put taxes and shipping on top, if you dosage anything then consider it a bonus.

    Average mph

It's worked out as an average, oddly! Should sit around 40mph if you do 50/50 urban/extra-urban driving. What do you think it should be?
  12. I just go for higher res pics then scale to suit the iPad.
  13. Google images. Seriously, that's what I use for mine.
  14. Do the flywheel as well. False economy not to, whether you choose to stick with OEM or give yourself an upgrade whilst you're there.
  15. As above, master or slave. Change both, labour is the expensive bit not the parts themselves.
  16. If I'm honest I do like the colour and the interior works well, but the outside is a mess of angles and lines that don't have any cohesion at all. Is there anything you can do about that bonnet gap too? As I always say though, as long as you're happy that's all that matters
  17. Rear left wears faster because of roundabouts. Depending on how low you are, you might be out of spec: Post your geo up and we can take a look And welcome along!
  18. Hey you know me, glass half full and all that
  19. What does the badge on the rear say?
  20. Is it a good idea? YES Would it improve driving for all motorists? YES Does it make any money? NO Ah well, guess that's one idea out the window then.
  21. Unless you're absolutely slammed to the floor, you'll be fine regardless of where you go. Both the 911 (which sits about the same height as a lowered Zed) and the MR2 (which sits pretty damn low) were perfectly fine in the standard carriages.
  22. If you want to fall asleep whilst looking at it, then yes.
