  1. Still playing Titanfall. Still not quite 2G yet, but soon!
  2. Used panties from a vending machine. Just because you can, really.

    RX8

So I've now borrowed the RX8 in question for a month, to see how I get on with it. He's done a couple of maintenance related mods so far (separate oil res for the 2-stroke rather than using sump oil for one), but other than it's stock still. Well, apart from the decat... Still love the howl from the engine, and the pop from the exhaust as you shift up a smidge before the redline at WOT is hysterical! Very impressed with the suspension too: It handles some dire speed humps near me better than anything I've ever driven before. Too soft for my personal preference, but for the masses it's ideal for comfort. Updates as I go.
  4. Bit of free advice: Stop buying dull cars you lose money on, and start buying fun ones you lose money on. At least that's more fun!
  5. I'd much rather pay £700 a month for an M3 than lose £5k on a 320i.
  6. Chav Central. Chav Tastic. Chav Mundo.
  7. I use Last Touch for QD and drying aid, and it works perfectly.
  8. Agreed. If I'm hiring a sports car, then I'm going to spank it like a red-haired stepchild.

    Tyres

Ackermann principle in full effect, I'm afraid. Perfectly normal, all cars with large wheels and low suspension with a wide front end (i.e. every sports car ever) does this to some extent.
  10. At which point you punched her in the boob and told her that only a V8 petrol will do, of course. Wimmin, eh?!
  11. Not me, never seen those around though. Must try harder!
  12. ARGH RETARD CAMERA USER!!! Don't worry, I'm sure the copper in the car will be given a formal warning for this behaviour.
  13. Can't... breathe...  Need... air... Yeah, just buy another BMW. Tbh mate if it was anyone else asking I'd have happily given up some time to give you a detailed overview of 911 ownership, but since you seem to ignore everything any one says on cars and simply just buy a BMW any way I'm not really sure I can be bothered. Not mean harshly, but it's the truth.
  14. I wouldn't, because I don't need the extra money. If I suddenly did, then I'd be more likely to sell the car for funds rather than hire it out.
  15. Some insurers will mirror your NCB. A-Plan did for me when I got the MR2.
  16. Oh no, awful decision Congrats Will, worthy addition!
  17. I often wonder how non-car people actually decide what car to buy. When you have no idea of dynamics, or engines, or anything that we all take for granted, how on earth do you pick what car you want?!
  18. Mr Pedantic can say what he likes, as he'd be wrong. In your example, a 275/35/20 sidewall is indeed 96mm. Profile is always related directly to the width, which is why it's used as an aspect calculator. It would be useless otherwise, as who decides what a 'standard' tyre is? Dunlop do a pretty good guide to all tyre marking here. My rears on the 911 are 305/30, which makes them 91.5mm tall. The fronts are 235/35, which makes them 82.25mm tall.
  19. Glad it's worked out for you
  20. Profile is decided by width. Many cars run different profiles front to back.
  21. Thing is, BMW is a much better brand than Infiniti is ever likely to be. No shame in that, they spent a hell of a lot of years building that up. I'd rather have the equivalent Beemer than the Inifiniti I have to say, but then I wouldn't be so shallow as to pick it simply because of the badge.
  22. I genuine did snap my banjo string once, back when I was 17 or 18 I think. I can promise you, women and childbirth have NOTHING on that kind of pain. Not much blood though, which was good I guess. Worst part is that it had just about healed up, and then I got engaged to the girl I was seeing at the time so of course we celebrated by having sneakytimes, and I tore it again but kinda had to continue! Oh, I laugh about it now. Wasn't so funny at the time, I can tell you.
  23. I priced them up on Camskill, and that came to a fraction under £890 including delivery. Granted, you'd need to get them fitted somewhere local, so that'll add a bit more on I admit.
  24. £90 more for the MPSS would seem to be a bargain, especially considering you'll get approx 30% more miles out of them at least. But each to their own. If it were me, I'd pick the VUS out of your choice of two. Bit slippy in the wet, but loads of feedback so that may influence your choice.
