  1. You might want to read that again fella!
  2. Correct, no points but a fine of up to £1000 and withdrawal of the plate if a personalised one. DVLA pdf
  3. I once drove my car around with an umbrella over it to stop it getting wet, and then I realised there was all dirty particles in the air so I covered in in a hazmat suit, then I thought about all the people staring at me and I realised they wanted to kill me so I went home and put my tinfoil hat of protection on now nothing can get me.
  4. *Temper Orange Also, driving like an absolute c*ckweasel
  5. I cannot work out if this thread is serious or not.
  6. I'd like to have gone, but just for the parties. Jo went, and she had to to become a teacher, but otherwise I don't really see them as necessary these days. A lot of people go just because they feel that's what you do, which is the wrong attitude, or just because they don't really know what to do after school anyway.
  7. They're not, hence me posting it here rather than in their section which has now gone.

Audi S8 would be a lovely barge, I'd also look into something like the E63. The Mercs have the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in.

Mate, that's superb help, thanks! Certainly makes finding one a bit easier, plenty of coupes and convertibles around.

I can only find the swirl flap problem related to the diesels, not the petrols. Not to say you're wrong, just that a quick Google didn't bring anything obvious up. I'll have another look later.

Great stuff, thanks fella Very surprised about the fold down seats in the saloon, that would seem to be a very basic thing to have in any 4 seat car! That might well limit me, or it might not. Depends on how big the boot actually is in person, I guess. On a side note, how much access to the rear seats is there in the coupe with doors open and front seats forward? In terms of putting a kiddy in a seat in the back, doable? I thought the BMW warranty was a little more flexible than the Porsche one with regards to aftermarket parts, i.e. whilst I don't expect the engine to be covered if I strap new turbos to it, I do expect the stereo to be covered if I put an exhaust on. Maybe I've read that wrong, which is a shame. The 60k limit is definitely noted, I think I'd be looking at cars around 30k - 50k max anyways. Is there a thread on here matey where you've covered your ownership that I could have a read of?
  12. I was surprised they've ditched the V8S altogether, but I guess at that price level there's not going to be too many takers for the lesser model.
  13. C*nt. Bernie, not you Pete! I put £10 on Nico to win the title this weekend. Either Lewis wins and I'm happy enough to not care about the tenner, or Nico wins and at I'm £30 up on the deal.
  14. Erm, I think you might have that wrong. I would suggest that if you answer yes to 3 and 4, then you're absolutely going to pay more.

Kinda why I want one. I've got the loud shouty car, I want something that blends in. I might even consider *gasp* a grey or silver one!

You're right, I should probably clarify the intended use for the car Basically, it would replace the Mini as Jo's daily driver, but it would also function as my GT car. It would have to cope well with continental trips and the odd blat. I have the MR2 for ultimate twisty fun, so I don't expect the GT car to replicate that: More to complement it.
  19. Because they then go and write sh*tty reviews about you on the internet if you don't It's a legal requirement that you send the certificate, it's not something the insurers make you do because they feel like it.
  20. He's going to be amazing
  21. If you enjoyed GTAV on 360/PS3, then probably best to avoid this. If you adored GTAV on 360/PS3, then probably best to sell your left testicle/booby for this.
  22. I suspect if it's anything less than the 6.1L V12 from the McLaren F1 with orange cam covers, we're all going to be disappointed.
  23. Also, don't forget to change to first person when in the mission with Chop and Lemar when you have to find the guy you tried to kidnap very early on: When you take over as Chop, and he runs off to have sneakytimes with lady dog, it's a little bit funny
  24. Oh absolutely, no doubt I should've sent it recorded, however I didn't expect them to sit around for four weeks and not let me know they'd not received it either. If I hadn't contacted them, then technically I'd be in the same situation as the biker the other week who got done on his insurance because it was never cancelled. For me, that's unacceptable.

Okay, I know this was touched on on my other thread, but that was getting a bit jumbled and I thought it might be good to keep this all in one place. So anyway ( ), I'm starting to narrow down the list of next car possibilities with a view to purchasing, and I have to say the 335i is ticking very many boxes. However, what little I know about them can be written on the end of my tiny winky so I'd appreciate any thoughts or knowledge people could share with me. It will have to be either a saloon or estate for practical purposes, but otherwise I need educating. Common faults, stuff to ask about if it's been done, servicing costs, warranty possibilities (AUC?), running costs, everything. I'm not decided between manual or auto, although finding a manual estate would be a challenge! Gangzoom et al, your thoughts would be much appreciated.
