  1. So how did he miss his train? Platform change? Sorry bud, but I don't see this being anyone's fault but your son's. I may be biased working at an airport, but why people don't think to check the signs that are everywhere regarding changes to their itinerary is beyond me. You can ask them nicely, but they'll just point out that plenty of other people managed to make the time on time on the right platform.
  2. There is kit that will do that, but ultimately it's not very flexible and it's usually expensive.
  3. The D1 had multiple modes as well, but they all pretty much ruined the driving experience for me. Don't get me wrong, they're great at first and do exactly what you want, but then ultimately as you learn the car and gain confidence a twitchy throttle can really upset the balance.
  4. Did I ever tell you how Mouthwash hates sarcasm and you've just earned yourself a collection of garden gnomes? I freakin' love garden gnomes!
  5. You could try the D1, but I took mine out after a few months on the 350. Yes, it does what it says, but it's so binary with it that it actually made the car worse to drive. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you just need to learn to push the pedal down harder. I had to with mine, and when it kinda clicked it was so much better. Perseverance, my old chum.
  6. But what was the code? Was it for low efficiency catalyst, or was it for something else? What did Abbey do when you took it back to them?
  7. Okay, any more details? What was the engine light? Do you have O2 sensor extenders fitted?
  8. They really should be passing, if I'm honest. Your lambda is fractionally low as well, which is odd.
  9. I just buy mine from Amazon, cheap there as anywhere else. It's the WD Red drives you want, btw. They are the market leader for NAS drives right now, I wouldn't touch anything else.
  10. How old are they?
  11. Oh please tell me you don't like those?! Admittedly those ones are about as good as I've ever seen them, but still they are proper late '90s F&F chav central tat.
  12. Did I ever tell everyone how awesome Mouthwash is, and that he's like a hero to me?
  13. Yeah, so what actually happened? What did they do originally, and what did they do to fix it?
  14. Are these those horrible nigh-on day-glo illuminescent dials I've seen? All awful blues and purples and that?
  15. It might be for the best Ricky, it's a hell of a risk to take otherwise. I always play safe with data and different software! Seriously though, some of you folks really should look into UnRAID as a way of making your life easier. Basically, it's this: 1. Take one old PC, with lots of space for drives and lots of SATA connectors. Everything else is secondary (CPU, RAM etc) 2. Get two drives, one of them as big as the biggest drive you'll ever want to fit. That one is the parity drive, and does not hold data. 3. Install drives, then install UnRAID software via USB and boot. 4. Set it all up (takes about an hour unless you want to preclear the drives). 5. Transfer stuff onto it. That's it. You can add as many drives as you want as long as they're not bigger than the parity drive. If one of the drives fails, you simply replace it with a blank one and the parity drive rebuilds it for you. It's such a simple solution, as long as you're prepared to spend an hour or so learning the basics of linux, or even just follow the guides that are out there word for word like I did. It's not as redundant as a proper RAID solution, but it does a bloody good job of pretending it is for much less. If anybody wants to know more, I'll let you know about my setup and what I did (and the challenges I overcame) as a complete NAS/linux noob.
  16. Actually, I'd do two things: 1. Take the money. Make sure it's in hand, or in the bank if a cheque. 2. I'd then go an see the guy, and scream and rant in his face about what a dirty, filthy, cheating little man he is. To call his son a liar takes the biscuit, and I'd just basically go mental at him. Getting it all off my chest might not get me any more cash, but it would make me feel a whole lot better and a whole lot more satisfied
  17. You know what? I'd take it at this point. As much as it's not right (and to be clear, it's not), you're going to have a hard time trying to get anything else out of him and I'm not sure the time/ballache factor is worth it. Chalk it off to experience, and just tell as many people as you can what happened. Hopefully karma and word of mouth will do the rest.
  18. It really annoys me when people abuse the Spotted On eBay section like this. No offence to you flamez, you're only doing what you can to sell your car, but really there's a dedicated For Sale section for a reason that you easily qualify for. Might make people actually read it than just skip past not realising it's your car for sale.
  19. What software were you using? What was the old NAS?
  20. For a week, yeah I'd go with that. For anything longer (as in months and years) then no, go somewhere that will give you the protection you need as a tenant. What if he comes home early and decides that he needs the place? You're pretty much out on your ears then and there.

    Cayman GT4

No chance they'll be a better driver's car than this. The stock Cayman runs the 458 close, the GT3 trumps the Speciale, this is going to be THE car to own. Shame they'll be a halo car and never drop to sensible levels
  24. That'll be fine then matey
  25. What is the app? But yeah, that could all be quite reasonable. Sat nav by any chance?
