£50K in '93 would be £93K today, adjusted for inflation. I'd expect that to be about right. I don't know where BMW will pitch their version, given the i8 exists at close to that price point. However, no-one in their right mind will pay £90K for a Toyota. Tbh, I can't see anyone paying £50K for a Toyota!
  2. It's a racecar, you couldn't get a GT-R or Porsche to run in the same class for that money. HP and torque are absolutely fine, if they went any further they'd go up a class and be well outgunned then.
  3. Ah it was many years ago now (sold up in 2010) and I was living in Braintree at the time too. I need to clean mine too, I'd forgotten just how quickly the dirt settles on them.

If it's the same car underneath as the BMW offering, then you'd be better off with the German as we know the interior will be a nice place to be, and I suspect it'll lose less on the depreciation as well. All irrelevant really given the price tag these things are going to come out at!
  5. The interior and an extra 500 revs makes a HUGE difference, IMHO.
  6. MPS4 after a bit of research and speaking to people who know, and MPSC2 just because I want to try the ultimate
  7. Impossible to say, as either you want to be able to put the roof down or you don't. The silver car is better for me though, as it's a facelift so you don't get the dreadful interior and the crappy headlights. And it's on the Rays, not the heavy OEM wheels.
  8. Please tell me you weren't using 95RON...
  9. MPS4S aren't available in 18", so irrelevant right now. MPS2 are old hat, don't bother. MPSS are utterly brilliant. MPS4 are supposed to be significantly better, despite not being a successor to the MPSS. I'll likely be going to MPS4 or MPSC2 after my current MPSS.
  10. It's not your driving you need to be concerned with, it's when Doris The Blind pulls out in front of you and you need to make a rapid change of direction. That could be the difference between the car responding correctly and you putting it into the armco. Tbh if you want decent tyres, I'd be putting MPSS or MPS4 on instead of the AD08R. You'll have 90% of the dry traction and 200% better wet traction, which you'll want if the TD is a wet one. Plenty of us on here run the MPSS on their cars, and there is no better road tyre available right now for 18" wheels. Trust me
  11. Oh man, that's awful Do you have anywhere else lined up you could go, even temp for a month or two?
  12. Jesus, mixed tyres across an axle is a huge no-no! Please, get them changed like yesterday. Seriously, that's really dangerous. If you don't know what you like then yes, might as well get it set to factory and go from there. Have the front toe set as close to neutral as you can though, and you don't really want more than 1deg of neg camber on the rear. But don't wait until March.
  13. Yup, used to have a blue roadster I live round near the Ramsey Academy, still love the cars though and the people here, which is why no-one's been able to get rid of me I think the wing does actually sit above the hedge line...
  14. Personally I'd strip it, sell off what you can then move onto something else.
  15. I'm in Halstead too, and we both have orange cars! If you see an orange BMW or a black Impreza waving, you'll know who it is now
  16. They're the best ones I'm not fussed either this year. I'll catch a race if it's on and I'm not doing anything, but C4 coverage is nowhere near as good as Sky which is a shame.
  17. You should be able to go 40 profile all round with no issues to the TCS systems. Some people have, but they're a minority. I'd always pick AD08R over the regular ones, I'm amazed you can still get thenon-Rs if I'm honest as they're very old spec and aren't even listed on Yokohama's website any more. What are you running right now? What geo settings are you running? AD08Rs are fairly soft, you might find yourself replacing them more often if your settings are off.
  18. Price seems a bit more reasonable. Get the strut brace back on and take another photo
  19. Cripes, that's top money. What's the white gunk on the tyres? Tyre shine? No FSB?
  20. No such thing, depends on the driver. What suspension are you running? What geo setup have you got now? How do you like your car to handle? What tyres? How far are you willing to compromise for track if you're also using it on the road?

    New Z

Given far most people on here bought their car because of the styling, I'd say looks are more important than drivetrain sadly.
  22. The first hit on a google for 'nissan warranty transferable'... https://nissan-caree...aspx#faq-item17 Yes, it is. However it doesn't cover any modified vehicles at all, so unless the GT-R is 100% standard then it's not worth the paper it's printed on.

Seriously, go sit in a TT or R8 and have a fiddle with stuff. It's astounding.

They're the air vents, with the controls for them in the middle on little LCD displays which saves having separate HVAC controls elsewhere. It's genius, and works brilliantly. If you guys genuinely think that Inifiniti or Lexus interiors are better than that, ahm oot. The quality of materials is on another level.

New TT/R8 sets the standard for modern car interiors. They're utterly flawless, every button gives the perfect feedback, just enough driver-focus on the cockpit without looking daft, and the new LCD customisable display for the centre clocks is a work of cohesive art. 996 is a dreadful design inside, but the quality of materials is immense. Pick up an 18 year old 100k mile car now and it'll look like it did when it was 1 year and 10k mile old. Merc seats are beautiful but their infotainment is garbage, i-Drive is better but still confusing, new Panamera is a huge step up and potentially up there with Audi.
