I think you mean we're, not you're. But yes, it's going to be a clusterf*ck of epic proportions. Let's not forget we have both French and German elections midway through, so they're going to be a trifle busy sorting that out and then when they get new leaders BLAMMO we all get to start again. Highly unlikely a proper deal will be done within two years. More likely we'll get a duplicate of what we have now, or we'll go full WTO.

Imagine I'm the supplying dealer. In comes a customer who bought a car off me three months ago. He says that the wiring is butchered around the gearbox. The car has been fine up until now. Another garage has changed bits, and the owner himself has modified it in his ownership so it puts out more power. I don't have any recollection of any issues at all, and the car has been fine for months. I'm unlikely to see the customer again, it's been a tight month and tbh I can't see an easy fix so this is going to cost me money. The owner has faffed around with it, personally I quite fancy my chances in court as I reckon I have a good chance of proving that the fault wasn't there on purchase as otherwise it would've started smoking straight away, and I have a good PDI to prove it. Nope, I'm not taking the car back, but I will look at it for him and potentially charge for repairs. Is just one scenario. If the car hadn't been modified, and the other garage hadn't already touched it, then yes it's a slam dunk take it back. In this case, it's questionable.

Oh there's plenty of adjustment in the standard suspension setup to take the car from understeering dullard to snap oversteer hero Alignments should be carried out every 12mths minimum, and personally I always get one done as a priority when buying a new car just so I know everything under there is fine.

I still suspect the geo, sounds like it's far too aggressive in terms of camber on the rear possibly.

On a side note, our local MP came to Jo's school the other day to congratulate her on her Ofsted results (in less than a year as Acting Head, only having been a Deputy for 3 months prior, she took the school from a dead cert inadequate to Good with elements of Outstanding ) and I got her to ask him to get me some tickets to PMQs

The most they can hold anything up for is 364 days, which of course would be a bit of a pain in the Brexit case Ooh, bin them off and then open the HoL to the public to have meetings in: I bet they'd make a fortune!

RE050A are a very good tyre, certainly in the wet. I'd be checking the tracking at a first point, confirm that's alright first of all. Assuming it is, then skip all of those and go to the MPS4.

Not saying I don't agree with you, but then why have a second tier at all? It's just another layer of democracy that really won't serve any purpose, as then all we're doing is having two MPs per constituency. Whilst the olde worlde person who like UK history and the way the law/Parliament works wants to keep the HoL, I'd rather see it removed from the decision making process altogether. It could stay simply as a discussion room, where people who do still have influence in the real world (rightly or wrongly) can debate the choices made by those sitting in the green seats without actually having any real power.

All member states have to agree to a deal when another member leaves. If the Germans won't talk to us yet, it's pointless even having the conversation with the EU. We will of course have to reveal our demands first, however that should be in a private meeting and not in public. None of the details of the deal should be revealed to the public until the deal is ready to be voted on by Parliament.

Which could have involved bodging the electrics.... I hope I'm wrong, but this sounds like it's going to be a PITA to sort. As much as you don't want to hear it, I reckon that unless the supplying dealer folds quickly that you're going to have sort this yourself.

Because they want to play it 100% by the rules, which clearly states in the Articles that no discussion can take place before A50 is triggered. Common sense says to simply get it out of the way, but technically Ze Germanz are right on this.

They may not have known about the wiring, highly unlikely that they would've even checked the car over that much. Yes, they are liable to repair. The trouble you're going to have is proving that it was like this when you bought it, when even by our own admission it's been fine for three months. Why are the wires only just smoking now? What has changed? Why is it suddenly pulling too much current?

No-one will get kicked out of anywhere, it'd be political suicide for either side to do so. I just don't believe we should be forced to act before we've even started the A50 process, as it weakens our hand.

Yup, they absolutely were right to amend if that's what they feel is the correct thing to do. That said, they only did it to flex their weedy muscles, it won't make any difference and they'd have been just as right to leave the bloody thing alone so we can get on with leaving. William Hague had it right on Jeremy Vine just now though, when he said that May had already stated she'd protect the rights of EU citizens living here but wanted the same guarantee from the EU about Brits living abroad. Could be sorted out in 5 mins, but Tusk and the Germans said no, not until A50 is triggered. No reason we should commit before the EU does.

Personally, I think there's better tyres out there and if you changed, you'd notice the difference for the better. It's like when people rave about the Falken 453 and that they're the best tyre ever and they've got a 600bhp Evo that sticks to anything with them on: They may well be happy with what they've got, but that doesn't mean there are better things out there. My general rule of thumb is if you're happy with them then don't bother changing, however if you can afford to spend more then there's better choices to be made.

What? The insurer will pay out to the crippled kiddies regardless, they'll just void your policy and chase you for the cash. That's the legal standing of insurance, the insurer has to pay out no matter what to the injured third party. There's an on-going case right now where an MR2 dropped it's coolant at the Ring, causing a biker to come off and hit the armco and lose his leg. The insurer doesn't cover the Ring, so they are now chasing the owner of the car for the sum they're paying out to the biker. Car owner probably did nothing wrong and it's unlikely they knew they had any issue with the coolant until it went pop, but that's life and the risk you take and why I'd never ever drive the Ring uninsured.

I'll start with the load rating. A tyre marked 91 can take 615kg of weight, so if we assume the car has four of these on then total capacity for those tyres is 2460kg. You'd struggle to ever make a Zed weigh that much even if you really tried, so suffice to say that 91 is more than sufficient. If we look at the 95 rating, that equates to 690kg per tyre so even higher. So yes, you can safely use a 95 rated tyre, or an XL (Extra Load) tyre on your car. Feel free to mix and match load ratings, I can't even tell the difference between a regular and XL tyre when on a car. In terms of speed ratings, W is rated for 168mph so if you never intend on going faster than that (in a standard Zed you won't), then it's a non-issue. Tyres rated as Y are good for 186mph, so even higher. Again, you can mix and match speed ratings as you see fit. HOWEVER, I still maintain that matching tyre brand and model across the car is vital. As such, whilst I'd run something like 225/45/18 91W RE050A on the front and 245/45/18 96Y RE050A on the rear, I wouldn't run the same front with a 245/45/18 91W MPSS on the rear if you see what I mean. In general, any tyres of a type and a size you can get for the Zed are likely to be absolutely fine in terms of load and speed rating, so I wouldn't give them a second thought.
