I've had Conti-Sport2 on the back for 30K miles. Before that I have Toyos all round. I recently changed to Falkens all round and the first thing I noticed was the road noise is substantially lower - I mean lots. The car feels much more stable in corners and inspires much more confidence. I was a little worried as they aren't a 'big' name but I can honestly say that I recommend them over Toyo and CS2 by far.

Only if really desperate I can't say i can detect any better performance with 97 over 95, but the mpg is slightly higher and enough to offset the extra cost, so why not use it

Went for a tootle up the coast last night but was on reserve fuel only. Unbelievably I could not find a garage anywhere that has 97 unleaded so had to gently drive back to my local Shell at the end of the evening. I managed to get 79.54 litres in the tank Sh*t! only 100m from conking out on the A1 (in theory) but there were no coughs or splutters, even going around corners.

She needs practice. She is ok but tends to alternate sharp and flat (although mainly flat). Too much vibrato being used to to mask missing the exact pitch. A common problem when trying to belt it out. Just because she is a character, dosn't make her good, just a bit of a surprise! There, that poo-pooed it

Me too. I took mine out and did the MP3 trick which involved some open heart surgery. Obviously I put it back in the same car though

I`ll be coming over from Newcastle on the Saturday at some point. I haven't decided exactly when yet but I only have to get to the Hotel (Dene) at some point, no real rush. I`ll catch the M6 at Carlisle so can adjust my time to meet up with anyone really

ARB links is such a common cause of clunks on cars. You would think car mechanics would have been able to work that out a bit faster

Oh dear God yes, I got caught by that one and was most unhappy!

He has a manual throttle cable? Interesting... More details would be great if you have them. Manual throttle requires a full replacement aftermarket ECU. The stock ECU wouldnt know what to do with it! Pffhh Always a catch.

Check remaining Tax Check service book and schedule Proper HPI check! Make sucking noise through teeth whilst shaking head and tutting a lot Try not to smile when hoofing it. All of the gearshift levers vibrate but I have tried a 'bad' one where it's enough to give you white-finger. At high revs, vibration shoudl be evident but not excessive to feel and barely visible to the eye.
