I think this is what i have too, yes... although mine isnt speed/cold related. It just rattles, which i would describe as a ticking noise.

Not definitely. What if a component has failed creating a short? As i said, my desktop PC failed last year with exactly these symptoms, and it wouldnt go into Post... until i disconnected the HDD. Fingers crossed its the PSU, but my suggestion is simple enough to try if no spare PSU is available (probably should have mentioned that - the first thing i tried was a spare PSU )

Mike, Take the side off and first of all, check all the connections are solid. If its still not working, start unplugging components systematically and turning on again each time. Yes i've had a failed PSU before, but that came with a distinct smell, and no brief whirring sound. The last time i had the issue you describe, it turned out to be a failed hard disk. So, you can remove the following restarting every time: CD/DVD-ROM Floppy Hard Disk Individual Memory modules Graphics Card Even without these items, your computer should still POST - which is the bootup procedure. If you remove one and you get further, then thats your culprit. Lastly, flip out your bios battery and leave for 30 seconds. It could even be something as nasty as a virus affecting your bios.

Yes... but you wont be able to get hold of the 7120 fronts... i was waiting all summer for them, called up just about every place online that has a mention of them, and they're just unavailable. Even found someone selling them on ebay, and they posted me something else... and when i rang them they said 'oh yeh, we didnt mean to list those, we cant get them'. I even spoke to adam@z1 auto about alternatives, but there was nothing. My only option was to upgrade to DBA discs, at £2xx. Speak to CS, he'll confirm/sort you out.

This brings up my point made in the Rik thread again... i think we need some kind of accreditation for trader status on the site... I dont think just anyone should be allowed to become a trader when they pay their way (Correct me if im wrong mods, im assuming thats how its done). Things like this will knock the confidence of newer members, taking business away from the people on here that are excellent, trusted members of the community.

I've seen one in Knutsford a couple of times where i work... White with 2 blue stripes, and its a Rouche however you spell it. Im embarrassed to drive through knutsford in my lowly datsun, the cars their are ridiculous. Every other car is a 97 Turb or an SL63.

For what, my car?? I never insured it... only on the days i used it @ £22 a day. But when i was shopping for quotes i got as low as £360, but that works out at about 18 drift days a year... and i wasnt gonna do that many!
