  1. So far over my 2 zeds i've had several sets of wheels tyres... here's my opinions on them... Bridgestone RE040A's... Very loud for road noise, reasonable dry frip but not so good in the wet. Bridgestone RE050's... better than the re040's in all respects. Avon Z33's... Good name (for the car), and i was very impressed with the tyre. Reasonable levels of grip, but what i liked the most was that they broke away from grip in a very predictabe manner, making good fun 'frift' tyres... Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics... have these on my 19's currently and all i can say is 'Wow'. The car is basically glued to the road in the dry and wet - absolutely fantastic tyres.
  2. +1 most new after market stereos nowadays offer a usb input for a HDD or USB Pen Drive... I've got an 8GB Pen drive in mine and its great.
  3. You'll need to check what type of bulb-holder you have before purchasing anything... On my previous JDM zed, i had a halfords red light box hacked into my indicator cluster, so it wasnt a standard-fit Nissan bulb, if you get my drift...
  4. Woohoo...!!! Thats my first ever spotted. I was running late today... i usually pass there at 5.55pm Although im usually in my black Fiesta, but its in for some work this week.
  5. Great pics... F40 i my fave car, and the Gran Turismo is my favourite modern car... Doc - great story - i didnt know there was an LM edition.
  6. I know what your problem is - its because a woman did the service...
  7. Price wise you'll be looking at about £800 to £1000 to retrofit a set of brembos. On my previous zed i uprated my JDM brakes DBA drilled/slotted discs and Endless pads, + stainless lines and it cost me about £600 if i remember rightly...
  8. Clean car in the daylight, fix the PC when it's dark... I've got to clean mine tomorrow night too before oulton...
  9. Do speak full sentences? Very common failure at the back box join...
  10. Bump up the voluntary excess - that usually knocks a lot off for me... Im 27, 6 yrs NCB and i get quotes of about £1000, but went with Admiral Multicar, and it came down to £735. Do you have a second car in your household you could insure later this year, to make yours into a multicar policy?

  14. Macc to the Cat and Fiddle in 5 MINUTES. What was your average speed Mr Marzman????? I just checked google maps and its 8 miles from me... but its just a straight blast down the silk road, and the roads were completely empty too... 8 miles in 5 minutes would be 96mph average... so maybe it took me 6 or 7 minutes
  15. Thanks mate... And thanks everyone else too.
  16. That sounds like it'd work - thanks Leon. I'll have a go at that next sunday (after Modified Live - i dont want to be there without a center cap if i cant get it back in ) Thanks for the offer too - i may take you up on it if i still cant get it to budge.
  17. Spent about 2.5 hours washing and polishing the zed today, using AG Super Resin Polish (all done by hand). I was going to clay but i didnt need to at all. Tomorrow i will give it a coat of AG Extra Gloss Protection. The pics were taken on the cat and fiddle road about 5 mins from me...
