  1. I've got a bog standard 2-tonne trolley jack that i bought from an independant halfords-type store. Think i paid £14.00 for it brand new about 7 years ago. It fit underneath my previous zed that had standard skirts, but it wont go under my current zed with the Nismo kit, without driving onto some planks of wood first.
  2. I got a GoPro Hero HD last week, for free. ...i used £100 in Tesco clubcard vouchers and converted them to £200 in Jesspos vouchers ordered one at my local store.
  3. ...but then that said, the manual excert says differently... http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/images/a/ ... Change.jpg
  4. Through googling i've just found the following post from Alex... Mull, You do not require to replace the gear box and diff washers. They are just flat washers and not crush washers and are reusable. However the crush washer on the engine sump plug should be replaced every time, without fail. Alex. ...so i think i should be okay...
  5. Spot on, cheers buddy. Anyone know about the washers...? I've got mine booked in at a garage tomorrow, but havent ordered the 2x new washers... do i need those or can i reuse what's on there already?
  6. EDIT: Found this on 350z-Tech. Useful for future reference. http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php ... eplacement or a good video link provided by Jables: . ------------------------------------------- Hi all, As the title says, is there a guide anywhere for changing the gearbox fluid? I've searched but cant find anything... Cheers.
  7. Looks like great fun. Might go for one of these this year.
  8. I had that once with a Jwt fitted... Turned out to be a loose butterfly clip holding the filter onto the intake pipe allowing air to get in.
  9. Just buy it mate. I know the feeling of wanting another zed but trying to talk yourself out of it, and it doesnt go away... How much do you think your current car is worth? As £4250 for a 2008 car sounds very cheap to me... sounds like he's getting a better deal than you?
  10. I always look forward to seeing your pics immy, interesting Mini Mac there - looks good.
  11. No it's not. Depending on the width of the wheels you're looking at, a +30 offset will mean the wheels wont stick out enough, and you could do with 15mm spacers on them. I think my wheels are +18 and +22 offset (could be wrong, cant remember). You want to be looking for something around this for them to look good. EDIT: Just re-read your post... i see what you mean now. You're half right! The offset is what would be affected by adding spacers, yes. But adding 30mm spacers will not result in a +30 offset.
  12. Not sure thats real... to me it seems like the video has been sped up and the graphics overlayed afterwards. Still looks very quick, i just dont believe it...
  13. Can't believe it's only been mentioned once... The absolute most important aesthetic mod is fitting spacers to push your wheels out to the edge of the arches. Sounds like a tiny thing, but it makes sooo much difference.
  14. Seems about par for the course. 'simple, but in a good way' was my favourite comment I think. Interesting that no one mentioned reliability, which I think is one of its greatest strengths.
  15. You know I love your rays, but if you're not happy with either then as Jak says, sell both and get something wider with better offsets.
  16. You wont find a better endorsement for a car than that... buy it now I know everyone's different but in my opinion it's worth paying that bit extra for a minter, despite the age. My zed is an 02 import but i paid an awful lot more than your average zed, given that its in MINT condition, and had 2 folders full of paperwork and a well documented history of ownership on here. I'd prefer a garage queen import that's done 3000 miles a year since new, and probably never seen a rainy day than an 80k miler thats been used to go to work every day.
  17. Welcome mate. Keep an eye out for car shows. There's a show at Castle Combe in May called Japfest and you can sign up and pay for a 15minute session on track there (be quick though, i think they're running out). Similarly, Japfest 2 is in July i think at Donnington, and they offer the same chance at track time. It's a really good, safe experience. Another option would be to look out for a Sprint day. You only do 1 lap at a time and then wait your turn for the next lap... not as much fun but easy on your car. I did one at Curborough and it was only £60 for the full day, and i got about 25 laps.
  18. Love them. They look great
  19. Yep, definitely audio learning in the car for the win.
