Its the reason why the ECU trims the maps to bring the volumes into line with its set tollerences... More air, sets less fuel to get the A/F back to what it is set to do... Put something in line or remap the ecu and get the advantages! Interesting way with using the plenum as at least you would get the exact fitting to the lower plenum.... The issue is the thickness of the pelunum and increasing the volume... There isnt a CF version on the market, the car has been around for a few years though and its suprising something as nice hasnt been created... There are a number of other ones on the market though and they seem to be made out of some type of metal or alloy.. I havnt see the inside of the kinetx one but I would think the calculated volume is about the same... IMO it would be better to get rid of the upper and lower plenums and then have more of a direct port setup like the cosworth or the other kinitix plenum.. Create something different??

Wouldnt use them even if they were paying me to use them...............

I have a spare plenum... Am interested on what he is planning though... Is it a case that he wants to replicate the current one. If so will it have the same volume? If it dosnt then the cars will need some ECU work to handle the additional air volume... Or is he planning to go with something like the topsecret / cosworth one? If so I think the lower collector would be required too... Not wanting to poo poo any ideas but there is a reason why these parts arnt available and the ones that are, are bloody expensive... as 1 there isnt the volume to set up moulds etc... Has this guy got experience of working on cars? I can see lots of bikes but not many cars...

At least with the AA wtee it will cover parts or labour ... interested to see which one though as I have it too... cant see how they can get out of wear and tear if they are worn!! Need to read my small print and then if it dosnt do what the nissan dealers have said I will be having words! Not sure if you can use the AA wtee anywhere or if its something to do with nissan dealers... If you take it too an indy, you could get them to use aftermarket items... thus releasing a little more power!! and getting the AA to pay for it!

good work Rich Remember making the studs for the rear tyre of my beamish 325 in metalwork.... got the measurments a bit wrong for the requirment!! first run with it on, set off, rear tyre dug in, ripped and I left the whole tyre in shreds behind me!! Got it right the 4th time though... Just wish I had access to all the tools and gear again! Kids should think themselves lucky that they have access to the tools and stuff and more importantly someone that is prepared to spend the time with them to help out and give them good advice

lots of showcars have done it, someone even put one in the front dash under a screen they had fitted inplace of an airbag... Zeds not an easy one for the passanger to view the screen so they tend to lean across to play... Get one of the LCD screens that fit in the sun visor! Res on the small screens tends to be a bit crap so you wont get a great image! PSP in the glovebox for when you feel the need? If your wanting to do it, have a look on my350z as there a few that have done it on the other side of the pond! Prefer to play games on a nice big widescreen!

Jerry, if your not sat on your wall at home spotting them your on a street corner in croydon!! Hope you left the camera recording the road at home incase you missed a couple!! Top spotting
