  1. is it a suprise mums the word
  2. so is that pads every 9k miles ? and at what cost roughly ? no, i replaced mine recently @ 20k and they had plenty of meat on but were falling to bits, i got ebc redstuff they cost approx £100, big improvement over the oem ferodo's, a member called CS sells them took me approx an hour to do the front and rear, very easy to do the zed before anyone jumps in and says ds2500 are better, they probably are but you pay your money and make your choice, i'm happy with the ebc
  3. services are every 12 months or every 9k, so you cant go on mileage if the pads havent been done then they should be at those miles, discs really depends on how it has been driven, the pads are known to disintergrate with age
  4. i wouldn't go to the stealers, any garage can check that out stan i would drive it home and dont use the handbrake but thats me, too tight to pay a garage
  5. i can only comment on goodridge, had them all round on my last car and they were great, much better braking with less pressure on the pedal needed
  6. you lucky SOB ....enjoy !!
  7. have had reports that its hit and miss coding the key, can take a few goes
  8. Hi Stan it could be a stone or something stuck behind the dust shield on the brake disc or even between the pad and disc
  9. still shouldn't be enough to get people flashing thinking you have main beam on but yeah they are improved, imo the lights are quite poor
  10. I have the grey with the Alezan leather combo, looks good imo but there is a colours war on here, people will always tell you the best colour is whatever colour have its all personal taste at the end of the day
  11. its a shame bigphil hasn't got some surplus Y pipes but i he hasn't listed any yet
  12. It's a uk car 08 plate. Hmm very odd, thought it might be an import and not set correctly for the sva
  13. RELAYS
  14. just recieved a BOGOF on the autosport international tickets for january 09 input the following code on the website to get the above offer code- AS04241 http://www.autosport-international.com/
  15. you dont have to jack it up but it does haelp as you more clearance to pull the lining down a little more
  16. most of us are the same, OCD when it comes to cars
  17. not really what you want but not as bad as you thought
  18. tt's are great cars but a lot more uninvolving to drive compared to the zed imo
  19. is it safe for chrome ? most wheel cleaners shouldn't be used on chrome, they have driers in them and leave water marks in the chrome
  20. iirc bigphil is doing a good deal on clearing out some scorpion exhausts
  21. top quality pic though Rob
  22. Get yourself a Megs Clay Bar kit from Halfords, that should remove it. If it doesnt post up a pic/description of what you are trying to remove and we'll advise. Craig (Muddy) is an ex-pro detailler so he will know what to use to shift it safely +1 But I'd avoid white spirit! it will dry too quickly and leave a pattern in the chrome after a wash they should be clean ? if not just use some polish on them to clean off any tarnished marks, then some wheel wax, i use poorboys
  23. its easy done nixy i agree with rob but for now give it a quick wash and get some polish/wax on the area, it doesnt take long for rust to take hold with all the salt on the road dent master should be able to push that out and a bit of po85 to cut the scuff out
  24. The sunroof should have a canal all around the inside of the roof to allow water to be drained away, i would check the drain holes at the front, they will drain down either side of the windscreen and through the inner wings normally, make sure they are clear
