This is very odd, never had that, the norm is that the pads rust/stick to the discs and you hear a clunk, this is coupled with the handbrake sticking on, as you first move but never a loss of braking

the heated seats only work with the ignition on

the later models (06) had the buttons near the screen, the player is in the cupboard behind the passenger seat, you need to tilt the seat to open it to look inside

Thats a standard oem fit birdview system i would guess its a cd based system, which you will find in the cubby behind the passenger seat
