  1. Was there too - boy was it cold (even for a Penguin!) inside track or outside starting didnt see it making any difference - they swap over after 1 lap after all.. so only the grip at the start could really affect it and that looked pretty even.. schuey did very well as a non rally driver really and was totally dominant in the single seater buggies (beat Button twice by good distances) - but ekstrom was very good in the evolution F cars (more rally style).. enjoyed it but thought it was expensive - guess thats why the stadium was half full.. would go again if it was 25 instead of 55 quid! mcrae tribute was nice to see - got a good reception for that.. and Priaux got a great crowd response, especially when the other guy (forget who it was) spun his aston coming out of the last corner and priaux won by a foot or two!
  2. A man hasn't been feeling well, so he goes to his doctor for a complete checkup. Afterward, the doctor comes out with the results. "I'm afraid I have some very bad news," the doctor says. "You're dying, and you don't have much time left." "Oh, that's terrible !" says the man. "How long have I got ?" "Ten," the doctor says sadly. "Ten ?" the man asks. "Ten what ? Months ? Weeks ? What ?!" "Nine..."
  3. palmersport used to have some 350z's they used on their track lesson days?
  4. http://www.driftclub.com/DriftKing.htm Enter the Drift King. Drifting a car through a corner is not the fastest way around most turns any racecar driver will tell you strait out. This is where Keiichi Tsuchiya was crowned the Dori Kin or Drift King. In Option drift contests; style and technique are evaluated for exhibition values. Lately contests have been judged on racing lines and setup for multiple corner drifting, this is more difficult.
  5. i am going to RoC on sunday but that is a bit different from normal road or circuit driving .. the course is very tight (meaning some degree of drift is useful for setting the correct line) and of course they want to entertain the crowd too!
  6. generally speaking drifting/sliding will not be the quickest way round a corner (on tarmac at least - except in a real hairpin maybe)! but it does look good of course you dont see F1 drivers drifting (much)..
  7. I drive it hard but I also try not to make the traction control come on (too much!) - that's the quickest way in my view! I do sometimes deliberately provoke a small slide for fun though when it's safe to do so!
  8. this is the best and most useful post you have ever made here!!
  9. ah yes that field sure can get muddy! nearly drowned in it during jools holland there last year ..
  10. I am driving up to Alnwick (up above Newcastle) on the 28th I think .. hmmm
  11. absolutely you did the right thing - no question at all! scary stuff car-jacking
  12. kit lenses are never the best - but they are good value and a good starting point silly to buy without in my view!

    Top Speeds

there was a post during the summer on my350z.com where they did high speed runs in a TT Z on some salt flats or something.. if you can find it! the video on the making of the Z definately says it has been designed for zero lift.. I presume meaning the lift counters the downforce rather than the lift countering the (downforce + weight)!
  19. looks very nice - and unchanged from the factory? definately keep the traction control on if you have the original spec tyres !
  20. squirrels? if youre feeling brave then take it apart and put it back together again.. dash noises like that can be a real pain to find though
  21. My bad on the struts - me and Daron (well mainly Daron of course! ) fitted them the wrong way... they are great
  22. I wrote in another post that I wasnt happy with the struts that me and Daron (NI5MO) fitted the other day.. now I have just fitted them the RIGHT WAY ROUND and they are great sorry for impuning your struts, bigphil! (I blame Daron btw - as he did his first and then showed me how to fit mine!)
