I've had a couple of mr2 (mk1 and mk2) and they are different cars to the 350z - the z is less sports car and more GT really.. much more comfortable/softer riding/quieter.. the dry handling in the mr2 was better but the wet handling in the z is a lot safer and there is more grip generally. personally I got shot of the mr2s after a few 6 hour stretches heading up north where my brain nearly imploded.. if you just want to replace/upgrade the mr2 then get a lotus though! (and if you want a boring sedan then get the 5 series)..

usa companies get the business because they let people know what they have to offer (and not just by posting here once) and publish prices/have websites... if you did the same and offered the same prices you would get their business..

the train from york to london is actually a very good one normally - the east coast line is generally fast/clean and reliable. Book far enough in advance and you can get from london to edinburgh for 30 quid return which takes 5 hours each way... of course when I go that way I drive, but thats cos I like driving! I cant justify driving ..

the HFC make a big difference to the sound - i have kinetix HFC and nismo exhaust (and kinetix plenum) and love the noise.. its quiet when youre pootling around but wind down the windows late on a still night and boot it down the road... motorway speeds I find OK - some speeds are more annoying than others - I have driven for 5 hours on the motorway a few times and survived though

Ok Victor, but £40k is indicative of what the other USDM and JDM markets will be paying irrespective of the fact that we will pay more. A 911 doesn't cost £40k in the US And if there is a 20k diff in the price there will be hell of an import market. ah but a porsche is european and they get inflated more in price going to usa than jap cars do? I still think it will be a good deal though at 60k (or whatever it comes in at..)

i think the price will be around 60k? you cant just convert $ to £ and expect to pay that!

this whole thing is becoming rather over-complicated.. the original plan was to meet at 7, have dinner and a bit of a drive into town. I don't want to spend hours and hours faffing about with video cameras and lighting and women draped across my bonnet.. I'm really not convinced there is time for all this malarky (feel free to use that word in your own posts) for so many cars in an evening meet anyway.. .. call me old-fashioned or miserable or something...
