  1. theres also a place in japan that sells them - I have posted a link before if you want to search for it!
  2. if you find my previous posts I explained how I fitted the screen - but basically I cut a few mm off the screen housing along the top and drilled a few holes in the side which I then used to screw it to the cubby
  3. The door isnt so bad I am used to it - would be nicer if it fully retracted but in fact its quite useful that it doesnt as it can help cut down on glare from the screen I find.. I have explained this stuff before in ICE section (and posted photos!) - suggest you search a bit! The screen of course needs a power source.. along with a USB and a VGA cable running to the PC (USB assuming its a touchscreen)..
  4. bit harsh to get divorced just cos she was yabbering away and made you crash!
  5. ah usb i see if the computer only has usb v1.1 ports and your tv usb device only supports usb v2 then it clearly wont work.. i would recommend sticky with the 2003 cubby if installing a touchscreen there.. I even bought a 2003 cubby and installed in my 2004 car for this purpose.. you can fit the motorised cubby if you want (and its not cheap to buy one) but installing a screen will then become a nightmare..
  6. you mean a standard head unit with dvd/sat nav and not a pc right? no idea what he means about 1.1/2 - if he is talking about the space where the radio is then it's a 2 DIN space where the stereo is.. you can fit a 2004-2006 cubby to a 2003 model car no problem (although if you want to fit a touchscreen then its easier to fit in the 2003 cubby as the sliding mechanism is less bulky and the back of the cubby can be removed easilly).
  7. you will also need some sort of inverter or power supply designed for auto-shutdown/startup of car pc, a new headunit and associated adapter(s).. you should be aiming for low power usage (my PC uses under 60 watts) - just bunging a pc in the boot and connecting it to some cheapo inverter is a half-arsed job - spend more and do it properly.. achieving a stable power supply (that can survive engine crank) to the screen and the PC is important for a proper install. other costs may include wiring/usb hubs/bluetooth/network cards/tv and radio integration/steering wheel control interface etc no idea what wireless sound transfer is meant to mean.. I wouldnt try and do it for less than 500 quid (even buying some 2nd hand stuff)
  8. whoever voted car PC - please detail how to do it for 200 quid! ....
  9. good to get out and see a few Z's today here's my photos - flickr can show them different sizes, so if you want 3000x2000 images then go for it.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pingu2/set ... 924773680/
  10. me and zedrush both have fitted car PC - you can check our previous posts in ICE section..
  11. OK Daron just messaged me about this - I can make it I think so add me to list!
  12. best option in my opinion is to buy the parts from funkystyling and get your dealer (or good local mechanic if you use one!) to fit them..
  13. mine's clicking too! going to get it sorted later in year - think Envy sell the parts you need to fix it?
  14. I would be happy to be collected in an older Bentley or a Rolls - but to be collected in a continental gt .. ewww
  15. i was just objecting to the post disbelieving that they cant keep up.. I am well aware its not what they are designed for!
  16. I stick by my opinion that the 350z is quicker down a decent road (ie with bends in it!). Curb Weight: 2385 kg (5258 lb) 12.8 sec quarter mile is not impressive for a 550bhp car.. Nurbergring lap times.. http://forums.streetfire.net/printthread.php?t=12129 (the Arnage T cant keep up in a straight line even..) .. the main reason for not wanting one (apart from the fact im not rich!) is the crass styling and vulgar image..
  17. automatics 350z are fine (if that's what floats your boat!) - you will have to get an import as nissan UK never sold the autos, but thats not a real problem
