  1. I'd photoshop out the inside of the bonnet reflection on the windscreen!
  2. I had a wish, or a dream, or a preminition a while back that Button joined Hamilton at McLaren to make a mighty GB duo at the GB(ish) team. Then we'd get to see how good Button really is...... Apparently he is very good. ?? ? ?? ??
  3. MBS - Mine worked a treat last night - we ended up spending about £1100 between us (my bro didn't get any reds). I recounted your story and was told you should contact Norman Pipe, Threshers' Head of Customer Relations who will sort you out IMMEDIATELY. Check out threshers.co.uk and find their head office's number! Good luck
  4. Oh, I'd be Pi$$ed if they tried that old chestnut on me - in the wrong possible way!
  5. This will be the 3rd time I've used such voucher. My brother and I spend about £1000 each when we go. The 3 for 2 offer isn't as good so I'm not sure why you'd want to use that offer at all. (Unless you thought you'd get 3 for 2 AND 40% off! ) I'm going at 3:30 today having placed my orders a couple weeks ago with my local Thresher
  6. Jonathan 73 - 1 (Great idea to make it appeal to the OC & the Z club.....) Who's gonna start the thread over there???)
  7. Steve, I hope you have a good accountant..... Surely you're not in the UK enough to pay taxes Have a good time. How was Cali? I'll be there again next week
  8. Me too - though I cannot claim credit for the stitching....
  9. Yeah, I'm a lush and I admit it. For all you others out there.... http://www.threshergroup.com/voucher/
  10. Yeah, good call Mike. I got £280 worth for £230 And a few of them are pretty good, if memory serves me correctly then the Beringer Shiraz is great stuff. I say "if memory serves" b'cos I had 3 bottles!
  11. to the forum Zeddz. Put yourself on the member's map and enjoy this place. Oh, and well done changing to black. now your days will be filled with buying new car washing products, learning techniques that (you hope) will prevent swirls (but won't b'cos the paint is soooooo soft), and.........Drifting! Hope to see you on a Meet sometime.
  12. Terry Wogan. Awful? How ruuuuuuuuude. He's the MAN.
  13. I've got the same thing - I fitted a mesh grill (which involved loosening the licence plate fitting) - and the screw just won't tighten. I've left it b'cos although it's loose it isn't flapping about.....
  14. So your made it out of the bodyshop before Chris's??? I bet he's while you're clearly Chris won't appreciate the drowning wheels comment either - I've been on at him for months about it Hope to see it in the flesh sometime soon Paul. Cheers
  15. Best player on the pitch. Again. Beckham embodies what we fans want to see - desire, passion, urgency, skill and GOALS. England will be (as McClaren's reign has proven) a lot worse off without Becks. As soon as he was brought back into the squad results changed. There is simply no-one who has his vision and passing ability.
  16. Without Beckham England don't have anyone who can cross the ball to Crouch. He doesn't have the skill to head the ball without giving away a foul. Wright-Phillips can run gamely and will hopefully create something with Micah Richards because his crosses make even the smallest of defenders seem gargantuan! He's pi$$ poor. Joe Cole could provide the spark we need to get a goal and maybe Gerrard will be motivated by the captaincy and give a man-of-the-match performance. Not so long ago this would be an easy call, 3-0 to England. Not so anymore...... It's probably nail biting all the way. I'm such a die-hard supporter that I'll be blaring out the National Anthem and expecting a win. 2-1 England. If Becks gets 30 or more mins then 3-2 England. I don't even want to imagine what tomorrow will be like if we lose and what am I gonna watch next summer
  17. I'm so anal with it Steve that, yeah, it is in good nick Oh, and me getting Craig Mudd (muddydetail.co.uk) over here every 8 weeks to keep it in top shape helps It's a b1tch to keep this way though. I've spent oh so freakin much on materials it's just not funny. I've got all the cloths, all the sprays, all the mitts, all the correct techniques including pat drying. And still, this soft $hitty Nissan paint hurts and gets tiny little scratches in it. I'm very very seriously considering a water filter so I can leave it to dry naturally - then I won't have to risk making a mess with the waffle towels. Like I said - I am quite anal I'll get a white car next
  18. Mrs 73 & I are going back to LA in a couple weeks and can't wait to catch up with friends. Oh, and that ol' friend called Sun! I'm a So. Cal fan, never really got on with NorCal and don't like San Fran to be honest. Admittedly, PCH is a great drive - in either direction :
  19. If there is such thing as reincarnation - I wanna come back as...... SARNIE. Good fortune to you Liam, enjoy the F. Like others have said, ain't nothing that drives like a rental. :yahoo:
  20. Agreed. I had a right politically enraged 'discussion' the other night and found myself feeling embarrassed as I just kept finding issues to rant about! Immigration controls, Tax, "political correctness", red tape for business, jobsworths at councils, HSE, recruitment - hiring & firing, ...... rant rant rant.... The kids at school wondered what had hit them
  21. Surely there are other roads than those in Wales? Can we try something new. Please..... Derbyshire has some great roads for example. Shire350z - put yourself on the members map. A few of us are interested in mini meets so feel free to suggest somewhere. sometime.
  22. Mine's in for warranty work at the moment. Well, I've just had the stereo replaced (damn CD skipping ) and they replaced the clicking axle. But oh, only the driver's side. I didn't even get out of the parking lot before I got them to book it right back in for the other side Muppets. I now no longer have clicking in stereo so it's actually even more annoying. It's in on the 19th though.
  23. Not at all keen on the front but the back is sweet. Despite the low plate position I like it - squint and it (from a distance) is a little Porsche like?
  24. Steve, I know exactly how you're feeling b'cos I felt the same when I first got Craig (muddydetail) to do mine just before the Wales run in April. BE VERY CAREFUL when washing it now. Be sure to get on detailingworld.co.uk and learn how to minimise the risk of ruining it all again. I am VERY careful and I still have Craig come every 8 weeks to keep it looking good - it's such a shame to let it get bad again. Believe me, you WILL put swirls and sratches on it and you WILL be pi$$ed off b'cos you'll be determined to keep it looking sweet now. Let's hope you don't get quite as anal as I am with mine
