  1. put yourself on the members map and look out for local meets. I presume you're in or around the Chesterfield area? If so, ZedFest is on in Calverton (Notts) this weekend and a few of us are going. There's a thread on here :http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9376&highlight= which may interest you.
  2. If you need practicality and power then I guess the Vauxhall ticks the right boxes. As for it being a head turner? It isn't. That's for sure. And looking at your sig, your 350 is. How long have you tested the Vauxhall for? I had a 350 coupe for a week and a roadster for a week before I dived in for a Z - I felt it was the only way to see if I could live with a 350. Can you not do the same with the Vauxhall?
  3. What's the plan for ZedFest? Are most folk going Friday or Saturday and staying over? Or is the concensus to go Saturday? Or Sunday? To interrupt / cause dilemma England play at 5pm Saturday. And there's a Grand Prix Sunday :drive: I could be a Saturday morning guy myself but I've yet to learn whether I'm doing some Assessor training
  4. Chris (Chesterfield) may be along in a minute to explain how he HACKED his locking nut off once. Your Son will enjoy the 3hrs work. It'll build his muscles. And remind him to look after his "tool"
  5. Is everyone going BOTH Sat & Sun? What are people's plans? I'm favouring Sunday at present....
  6. ZedFest - yeah, Chris (Chesterfield) is planning to go. So am I - it's only 5 miles or so from me Not sure whether I'll go Sat or Sun though...
  7. Don't do it. Sure, the Monaro may be rare, but Well, not my cup of tea anyway. But hey, I was gonna get a 911 for christ's sake
  8. My vote would be for 12:30. Even that's a bit close to Sunday breakfast

    Black roof...

If it can be matched to the tint of the windshield then I reckon it'll look .... If not, it's a smart car!

    New Jag!

I knew the pussies would **** about with the concept. The concept was GORGEOUS. It had a higher waist, no door handles, a meaner front and generally looked sweee.eeeeee.eeeeet. This looks pooh.
  12. Guys The chance to get a 911 (996) has dropped on my lap and I'm in a dilemma.... Guards Red. Black Leather. Factory fit GT3 Kit. SatNav. Integrated Phone Kit (premium package). CD. Plus the usual 911 bits. Do I trade my GT4 (I've been offer £23k for it) and go with the 911 or stick with the 350z? Please vote / add comments:
  13. You can remove the ? from me. Mrs 73 & I fancy a run out! But, I reserve the right to stay at home if the weather is $hite. Beavis Digsy Lomoto Jacko M13KYF Jonathan73 Chesterfield Lincolnbaggie Kev946
  14. TiN.... How long did Mrs TiN work at said Company? It appears to me that you may have a REAL case of unfair dismissal. Now, I'm not advocating you follow it up (b'cos I would not like it happening to me!) but Mrs TiN could not be summarily dismissed without proper due process in the form of a disciplinary meeting / suspension with pay. It appears from what you've written, that this Company is a typical small Company that doesn't take too much stock in the Red Tape Bureaucracy BS that ties our hands nowadays. If that is the case I would imagine there is a fair chance that she acted unlawfully when dismissing Mrs TiN. It really is VERY difficult (as TeddyOnHoliday supports) to dismiss someone, even if they have committed a big NoNo. It makes my blood boil b'cos it means Companies have muppets in jobs, draining others' motivation, causing trouble, proving to be inefficient and a nuisance, just b'cos dismissing them would be a minefield
  15. I recently fired 2 employees for a whole host of misconducts (inc. de-frauding the company!) and the legal route is so frustrating but necessary. Just in case I get asked for a reference (they'd be silly to put my name on their application form though!) I had a chat with our legal team recently and contrary to my understanding a previous employer CAN give a negative reference if the statements contained therein are accurate. They cannot however just be vindictive as they put themselves at risk of being sued for damaging the candidates employment prospects. Whenever I'm asked to give a reference now, if I have nothing nice to say I tend not to respond to the reference request. In today's litigious society it's best to keep schtumm... This gives you a view from the 'other side' TiN... BTW, we're looking at the NEW YEAR for our www re-design
  16. Only buy a pair of tyres. No, how about getting 18" wheels instead? - We can certainly spend someone else's money on here 17" on a 350z Start saving for 18" AT LEAST. 19" looks sweeeee, eeee, eeet.

  18. I was gonna hang out the banner but now I'm having second thoughts. I live absolutely NOWHERE near you Schrodinger so there will be postively NO CHANCE of us ever getting together for a chat. I can look foolish in a conversation at home. With the plants. Or the dishwasher. The microwave has me in a confused bundle now and again too. Pop yourself on the members map and check out who's local to you
  19. Is there such a thing as a Celica Twin Turbo? A Celica with a descreet TT badge on it's back end played with me a few months ago. Well, sort of. He was 50-100yds ahead and obviously floored it. To be honest I reckon he could have beaten me but without really trying I don't know for sure (it was wet and I'm not that keen on going 120+ on a wet road - private or not - ;)that I know has aquaplane potential).... Anyway, it did seem pretty pokey.
  20. Come on guys, you can get to 11 secs by just moving up into the top left corner and staying there until the big square hits you.... It looks like James & M350Z should be fighter pilots with times (& reactions) like that
  21. Good luck to Kiane, Jay. Claire & I will be in Atlanta at a friend's wedding that weekend. Thanks for the open invite, I imagine it'll be a good night.
  22. Nana Moon is close by too - hopefully he'll see the thread.
