Ebay can be a real pain. I've heard of lots of people that have had accounts suspened for stupied reasons. Most relate to updating credit card details. I even went to change my email address with them as a result of spam. To do this you have to confirm credit card details and home address. When I went to do this it tried to set my home country as England and wouldn't let me change it to Ireland. So for now I'm stuck with it. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

I’m not really sure if imports have any effect on the value of second hand UK models. Dealers put people off imports by insisting that the cars are completely different and that parts will cost a lot more. For most Jap cars this simply isn’t true. With my last car, a Celica 190, I decide to go JDM because the suspension was better and the engine was tuned to run on higher octane fuel that they get in Japan. Didn’t want leather seats as the bucket in the JDM were better and the only other thing I can think of was the UK car had a headlamp adjustment knob. Great, I really needed that. With the Z it’s a different story. JDM has no headlamp washers (they can be annoying), different rear bumper as a result of license plate shape, no rear fog lamp, brembo’s are an option as are a few other parts, and the same applies with the interior. Had a link that explained the options on the JDM Z but cant find it right now. Will keep looking.

If we're bringing rain into this then I have to mention it streaming in from the pilar when you open the window just a little. Or even worse, in the dry if you spray the windows the wipers lift the water up to the top of the pilar on the drivers side where it then drips in through the open window.

Had it of been built today, and not by TVR of course, it would probably look more like the veron. For me the Speed 12 was the first insane hypercar since the Countach. Man I wanted one. Was gutted when they announced it wouldn't be built. The body on that one is from a GT1 race car. All the original panels were destroyed when they decided not to continue its development.

Last year when my Celica 190 was battered by the Garda's the first thing I did was get the bodyshop manager from my Toyota garage up to work up a quick estimate before the assessor arrived. As I wanted it repaired he did the best he could with the estimate. Came back with a rough figure of €5k. I passed this onto the assessor when he arrived. He asked me if I was sure I wanted to repair. Car was valued at €20k but it seemed they'd prefer to bin it. Not sure why but I think it was because he felt the costs would increase far above the estimate or insurance companies are just weird about repairs. Bit of a ramble. Anyway the quote from Nissan will not be cheep and the insurance company may change their mind using whatever strange reasoning they have.
