lol I'm a real paranoid bollox. Compairing the photos of the fender to bumper you can see the obvious gap but it could be put down to Nissan fitting. Doubt it. Drivers fender http://www.pro-motors.co.uk/images-cars/32d.jpg Passenger fender http://www.pro-motors.co.uk/images-cars/32j.jpg Another thing I think I can see is the suspension gap above the rear wheel on the passenger side. http://www.pro-motors.co.uk/images-cars/32p.jpg Drivers side view http://www.pro-motors.co.uk/images-cars/32l.jpg After my last car got hit a number of times over the years you could see gaps like this on both sides. Back on topic - Sorry the deal fell through mates. There's a lot more Z's out there. Guy

That is probably the best advert I've seen for a car. So many pics. Buuuttttttt it could be just me but I don't like the look of the join of the passenger fender to the bumper in this pic. http://www.pro-motors.co.uk/images-cars/32j.jpg It's probably just me being paranoid. Guy

Nice job. My clay bar has been sitting in a box with all the wax and polish for about 3 months now. Taking her to some people a mate knows to get the swirls sorted first. Was in dealer other day and saw a new black convertible. It was covered in swirls. Felt embarrassed for a car that wasn’t even mine. Guy

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch to the ON position and count to 3 seconds. 2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds. 2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD). 2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal. 3. Wait 7 seconds with the accelerator released 4. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds or until the CEL starts blinking. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking) At this point I found the error code would repeat over and over. Some posts state that 10 slow flashes signify the end of the code but I never saw that. 5. There’ll be a pause between each of the numbers flashed out. The only way I got this to work was to count from 0 to about 28 rather than from 0 to 3 then 0 to 5 then 0 to 7 then 0 to 10. If you turn off the ignition when the light starts flashing following step 4 it should reset the error. Haven’t tried that myself.

Follow the procedure to enable the diagnostics and count the flashes. Constant light is ok. If it were flashing you'd of been in trouble. Guy

I don’t like the tread pattern. Guy

Man that's bad. Anyone can reduce lift by designing an aero package like that. It's like F1 aero packages from years ago when they were first experimenting with it. Also, ride height looks way too high. Guy

Yesterday when I got home I wrote an email to both Nissan Ireland and the Windsor group explaining what happen so that they would be aware of the service offered in one of their dealerships compaired to another. Windsor passed on my message before close of business to the manager of Deansgrange who then called me to appologise. He understood that most of a dealers sales and service work comes from reccomendations by other people and if his service department were treating €60k customers in this mannor they would loose more future business then they care to imagine. His serice manager is out sick at present but on return they'll investigate the matter. This of course will have no effect on my decision to take my business elsewhere but nice to know they're following up on it. Guy

What a first few hours. Really sucks ass. Bet you're thinking about the noise the most. Guy

The only way you could like this design is if they did some seriously big wheels in massive wide body arches just like Super GT. Guy

Windsor Bray, Dublin Road. Good guys. Same owner as other muppets. They have 7 dealerships in Dublin.

Unbelievable dealer! So I show up today at 8.30 as instructed. Told to leave the keys. Confirmed my number and said once they had diagnosed the problem they’d give me a call so that I could collect it. “yea collect it ok but are you going to fix the O2 sensor as I’ve already done the diagnostic and it’ll only take you a second to do the same?â€

My goal is simple - be on the same driveway as a koenigsegg Guy

Well one again the Irish government wins hands down for being bigger F***ers. Today they announced a change to take effect next year. VRT is to be increased by up to 15% for large engine’d cars. Greener cars will get a reduction. I should point out that VRT is not the same as road tax which we currently also pay. This new plan is supposedly to do away with road tax. I should also point out that VRT is up 33% after VAT is applied. So in theory if I were to change the Z next year for a new one (or the new GTR) I would first have a starting price of we'll say €43k (for the Z) incl VAT of 21%. Next VRT of approx 48% gives me a total of €63.5k. A Z currently costs €58k inc VRT and road tax of €1300. I’m now actively seeking employment abroad. And you guys think a few hundred in road tax is bad. They also announced a tax on old less efficient light bulbs. Government has already set aside money to buy carbon credits from other countries. It has been suggested the build large wind farms out to sea in the Atlantic but it was said it would ruin the view. If they did it the excess power, of which there would be a lot, could be sold to the UK grid or other EU countries making a profit as there’d be no pollution. Guy

I think he's probably more anxious of the fact that the car may be damaged and he's trying to sell it. On the other hand he could be freaked out. Anyone who's ever had their house broken into will understand. Many people cant go back or stay over in the house again. Guy

I looking but I don't see that many changes over the G35. Interior yes it's a big improvement but exterior it look basically the same.

From www.nissan-global.com An electronically controlled continuously variable swirl control valve is used to achieve a high throttling rate, which increases the airflow velocity into the cylinder to facilitate high-swirl combustion. As a result, the combustion process is stabilized, especially right after engine start when combustion tends to be unstable, resulting in substantially cleaner engine-out emissions. Guy

That is an interesting read. My car is completely stock. The one thing I could possibly put it down to is fuel. We only get 95 here so that's a bad start. I put in Texaco fuel last Wednesday. I normally run v-power but even that's only 95. Maybe the mix of bottom of the tank v-power with Texaco muck set it off. Only guessing as the light came on two days later. Guy

Cars book in anyways for Wednesday. Will get it replaced under warranty and get the hell out of there. Funny how the mechanic suspected O2 sensor armed only with the knowledge that the car was a Z yet "the 350 is quite a rare car". Thanks again Dorian. Guy

It's amazing how easy it is to be distracted when talking about your car to someone. Even a person you don't know. You just know nothing will happen to them if they do get caught. Guy

Got it to work. Very happy with myself. I counted to 28 while at the same time doing each of the steps. At 28 I kept my foot on the throttle until the light flashed. Now I've discovered the real hard part. Counting the flashes. It doesn't do what the instructions said. i.e. there wasn't 10 slow flashes at the end. It just looped the code over and over which made it even harder to count. I ended up with a code of: 1471 - Not in the list 1147 - Heated O2 Sensor 2 7114 - Not in the list 4711 - Not in the list So unless I counted it all wrong it's a heated second O2 sensor. What the hell does that mean? Thanks for all the help. Guy
-
Kinda hard to say. I tried to depress the throttle 1 a sec rather than 5 times in quick succesion within 5 seconds. Last thing I want to do is reset it without first getting the code. My car is 04. You guys would call it GT spec UK car. Here it a Z with all the options except sat nav. Cheers, Guy

Here was me thinking I’d miss count the light flashing when trying to get the error code. After countless attempts I couldn’t get it into diagnostic mode. Does this only work on some models? Guy
