  1. OK OK, imagine you are in a chippy. Thats the last clue I'm giving If you still dont get it I'll tell you at Wales
  2. Have you covered the whole garage? My garage is quite large for a single and think it would still cost about £150 to do the whole lot. Guess its not that expensive.
  3. Because its a mission to get in and out. Basically you can only make the angle if my parking space directly infront of the garage is free. So if Amanda is in, you cant get my car in the garage! Plus although its nice and wide inside the garage, the door isnt so I'm always worried of scraping it Whats this floor stuff you speak of Stew? Is it cheap? The Race deck stuff and similar I've seen is about £300 to kit out the garage. Bit too much for my liking. I wanted to Epoxy it, but no way the other car will stay off it for a week while it sets
  4. Say it quickly in a Chinese accent, as if its a question
  5. Its in the pipeline. The admin are trying to make it work as the old gallery doesnt work with this new revision of the forum software. Facebook is a good alternative for now or the media section where users have posted pics
  6. Bah, get a dual action/random orbit polisher and you wont do any damange, just steal Craigs paint depth gauge to make sure you dont take too much off! Rob: I wanted to carpet our garage (my old dear even had enough of her old carpet to do it with) but as Amanda parks in it every night, we thought that given this countries weather a wet carpet might not be the best idea.
  7. I sealed mine in my living room while watching TV. Amanda wasnt impressed with me doing mine in the spare room and dashing up and down the stairs every 20mins to do another coat
  8. Using a pro to do your dirty work is cheating. Craig, give him a rotary polisher and let James do the work
  9. So no "sore finger" either? Sorry couldnt help it I say we DDOS the silly greek person
  10. I would say a trained mechanic can do it in about an hr. When I got mine done at ESR, they had mine done in the time it took for a quick trip around their new premesis and a cup of tea. Sersiouly, they were that quick! For power, I dont think it will make any more top end. It just frees up more mid range torque. Its noticeable, but not how most expect. If you hoof it off the line, you will notice no difference as top end power will be near as damnit the same. Mid range cruising and in gear acceleration will be noticeable though. At least it was for me. Dont know for sure as I didnt have it dyno'd before or any time soon after.
  11. I too will be interested. I mentioned Unichip to the MLR chaps and nearly had my nads cut off. I think its because for them it doesnt offer anywhere near the level of tuning they need, but for our modest tuning needs I think it could work well. Be interested mainly to see if the gains are as good as say those running Haltech etc and how much it costs. GTArt are certainly about the closest tuner I know of to me
  12. Yup, Nixy will protect ya Plus we can lock Louis in his room just in case.
  13. Bunch of pansies down South! If this was up Narf we'd get a much better turn out
  14. a. We start at the services just outside Chester, so plenty of fuel on hand (get there early just in case!) b. A couple of us are staying at the Macdonald Portal hotel just outside Chester, its not too shabby http://www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/ThePortal/gallery/
  15. I didnt know you could do this? Freedom of information act is a wonderful thing Officially if they stop you, there is some kind of forms they have to fill in and have to (if asked) supply you a copy. When I was a youth, the local coppers used to try and stop search us all the time until we asked for something similar (as told to us by a mates dad who was a copper) and then they didnt bother any more Dont think coppers like skaters for some reason Paperwork is too much hassle for most coppers unless they have a real reason to stop you.
  16. No worries bud, was worth a go I know they are odd sizes, it was what they came with from Phil. 40 profile is officially what I should run, but he said that the 35 profile sidewall flexed less so gave a better ride. He ran them on his Rotas for a while, so I trust his judgement. They took a lot of abuse at an airfield day I did on Friday, so I trust them.
  17. Yeah was just thinking that there might be somewhere between you guys leaving cc and the meeting point in Wales that might be quicker for me to get to....meet mid way etc. Geography not might strongest point so may need some help working out the best route Beavis put me onto google maps Jenna, you should try it its pretty good Google maps is the best! I swear by it, can do so much with working out routes and waypoints. I always use it to plan the route then force SatNav to go the same way - http://maps.google.co.uk BTW, if it was me, from Chichester, I would be going up with Rob and Co as its a much more directional route, no offence to Sarah and crew! Added bonus - if you can hit the A339 from Alton to Basingstoke, its a cracking road . To give you an idea of my route from Basingstoke, I pick up the A339, A34, M40, M42, M6 toll, M54, and A41 all the way to Chester. A41 takes a bit longer but is a nice road. Did it in a little over 3.5hrs last time. The M6 toll is definately worth it as you hit no traffic
  18. Surely Shine make some replicas? I'm sure the Shine ones I was eying up at ESR about a year ago were those wider ones like Stew has. Could be wrong though
  19. What sort of deals can you do with tyres Alex? I'm currently looking for 4 new tyres (2x 245/35/18, 2x 275/35/18). Usually go with Falken 452s and Camskill can do them for £450.
  20. I'm tempted to say report him for being a nonse but then he'll just be out to get you even more. Best thing is to take it on the chin. He knew he couldnt do anything more than lecture you, so just humouring him as you did was the best action. And tell your uncle to stop driving like an idiot
  21. Nice work mate. Makes me smile every time I can wash my wheels with just water and shampoo after all the effort it too to put 4 layers of PB wheel sealant on. Makes it soooo much easier and no more scrapy knuckles!
  22. True but it will be used more for a permanent solution, My CEL comes on every few hundred miles & its a pain having to get my laptop out everytime I clear it. Gonna order one later & give it a try If you are just after something to clear the codes, thats cool, but if you want more useful info, I would ask them what PIDs the Zed supports. As with my generic scanner, there are loads of OBDII codes, but the Zed doesnt support very many. Just be careful with what you expect from it
