  1. What they said! (except selling it!) You want the exact code and history of them. Which parts they plan to replace and why. And what was likely to have caused them to fail. Then get on the bimmer forums and ask them, they know more than us
  2. Try DPReview.com forums. They will tell you. I know naff all about Nikon After a quick google http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d60.htm I'd ask in Jessops or some sort to confirm, but I know there is something similar with old Canon lenses too. Ken Rockwell is a bit of a tool sometimes, hes very marmite, but that should be reliable information.
  3. Most seem to go for one of the KW kits. Meant to work very well on the Zed. I want the Variant 1s as I will never tune them but like you am worried that day to day driving will suffer. Hopefully will get out in a Zed with them in at some point!

    Filthy...

The hoon will be just as fun in September
  6. Nice one mate, sure that will help some others
  7. Gonna see what its like. Hopefully it can be fixed cheaply Need to ring Tom tonight to arrange tyres etc.
  8. Thats what its doing when it dials them out I think. It only has a small window of adjustment, enough to cope with the stock parts. Start modding them, and make it freer flowing and it cant handle it. I guess that makes sense with what Adam was saying about the SAFC too, as I guess although that can fool the ECU into thinking there is more air, and hence needs more fuel, it cant deliver it as its outside the usual "range". On thing I always assumed though is that because it FBW, why doesnt the ECU just dial out some throttle (i.e. air flow) to allow the AFR to be spot on? Why does it let it lean out? Is it lean, but still safe? Also Technosquare suggested that it knows how much power it should be making at any given time and it will compensate for that with its mix. Dont know how true that is either. Seems to be lots of indicisive information out there. All I know is that I have a pop charger, plenum spacer and Nismo exhaust and on the DynoDynamics dyno it made 2BHP over stock (so I call that stock!) so it obviously does dial out mods. Unless of course the popcharger lost me what the plenum spacer gained me. AFR was spot on too by what the chaps there were saying. Man we need someone to be able to map the stock ECU over here
  9. Thats the one I'm "The Fairlady 2" Computer dumped you in a right crap starting place didnt it!
  10. Get Liams keys off him and we'll see who can lap the Evo triangle quicker. She was hooning round the triangle in the lashing wet last year on the Saturday after Mikes wedding. Quicker than the front group did it the following day in the dry, so dont think you'll stand a chance in all honesty
  11. Usual clunks are the flexi-joints on the y-pipe or the resonator on the exhaust. My guess would be flexipipe. Ask Adrian about that One knock should be fine though, I've done it a few times myself.
  12. Me too I undertand that a cone filter will potentially lose you power due to heat soak compared to the stock airbox (which really is more than adequate for its purpose), but the sound for me is sooo nice
  13. Good good, make sure you get up to speed, me and Martin aint waiting around
  14. Amanda does that too. Epecially when she has flip flops on, to avoid Lexx's problems! I would imaging the foot rest does get a bit warm being positioned quite close the the drive train! And Louis, I wanna see you drive aginst some of these women. On a recent CarLimits day, Amanda was posting 61s lap times against my 55s and a best on the day of 53s from a Evo pushing out around 350HP. Was an RX8 day and most posted about 57-59s. This from a girl who very rarely drives my car. I reckon if she held the throttle pinned more on the straights she'd shave another 2s from her time easily. She'd give you a right kicking
  15. Usually judder under braking is pad material deposited in lumps on the disc. Look for pad imprints on the disc, they are pretty noticable. You more knowledgable friend is quite correct in that it is indeed very hard to warp discs these days. Saying that, I'm not convinced that this is pad deposit. When I had it on my car you could notice it at most speeds, more so at slowing speeds (50-30MPH) but could still tell it was there at high speed too. Sure the more knowledgable members will be along shortly
  16. Think Amandas are Second Gen. They are black and in a cream leather carry pouch. Maybe not going by what Stew says

Chris`I.......................................1x Poorboy's Trim Restorer - £11.50, Poorboys Spray & Wipe (16oz) £10.00 Liking all the orders for wheel sealant, just make sure your wheels are nice and clean before applying. Also be sure to layer it up. With the SSR please be sure to read up on the grade you are ordering. By hand SSR1 will remove next to naff all. If you have lots of swirls you might not even see the difference. For normal hand applying, I would use SSR2. SSR2.5 has a bit more "bite" if Mike is doing it. SSR3 is for serious cut. I assume no one is using a machine polisher with this stuff.
