  1. Try reading the FAQs on Detailing World ( http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ ), they should cover everything much better than I can remember
  2. Sounds like a good start. As you can imagine (and as I've said before) there are more steps you can add, but for a starter for six, wash, polish, seal and wax is a good base
  3. Could well be. I never saw it but think it was a GM drop top. How did he get rid of it for his new car? I know he was having problems with it before getting rid of it.
  4. Good polish or polisher? One is the product and one applies it Good polish can be anything from Autoglym Super Resin Polish (good as its mild and has fillers to help hide the swirls you cant get rid of by hand) to Poorboys SSR1, 2 or 2.5 depending on how much correction you need. If you've never done it before go for AG SRP as its a good product and you cant really use it wrong. Sealant, again AG Extra Gloss Protection (EGP) is good. You'll ideally want a wax on top of that, anything from Dodo Juice and you cant go wrong
  5. Thats what I though I expected Clarckson to take it off the board. +1 - no way it would get over a speed bump!
  6. No he is quoting the America "The Z Store", not Envy's Z-store Try Adam@Z1auto, he does very favourable deals when importing stuff, fully insured and declared on customs etc. Other that might be able to get you a good deal are CS and Chilli Red
  7. That was a classic! I thought Schuey was a pretty good sport, although you could tell some of his answers were very well constructed with all his meda training. He didnt even flinch when Clarkson made the same person winning comments
  8. Dont think there is a problem with washing a car that has fresh paint on mate, just use proper car wash and a wash mitt (NOT A SPONGE!). Its polishing you cant do until the paint is properly set. I washed my newly sprayed bumper a few days after getting it done, they should harden it for you before you pick it up, you just have to leave it to properly set before a polish, and I think even then 3 weeks is more than enough
  9. Shhh, shes Stigette Its been widely known its Ben Collins for ages. As the others have said Schuey was just there to drive the FXX. I would have liked to have seen a proper drive from him in the reasonably priced car though.
  10. TBH the piggybacks all seem to offer the same amount of tuning capbilities, so its more important to see how various tuners stack up against each other. A good tuner can learn to tune a new chip if they want to (which it seems less do in the UK compared to the States), but its their experience that makes or breaks a map. I look forward to seeing what GT Art and RS Tuning can achieve. They both seem to have extensive knowledge of their chosen tools, its just down to extracting the power from the Zed that is key now
  11. There is CF, it's the centre caps. I must need batteries in my glasses, if I had glasses, so there is. I mean silly thinking that there wouldn't be any cf, considering it's you. The only reason he bought them was for the CF centre caps
  12. It wont be as loud as a pop charger as its incased in the shroud. You will only notice it above 4k RPM and even then its not massive. Get a plenum spacer and it will be quite a bit more noticable and replace exhaust and it will be even more noticable. Sounds like you've dont it all right to me
  13. Glad to see you are getting this sorted Jerry. IMO I would have eyebolt threads welded into the bar. I dont beleive that the bar will hold up properly should you run the harness to the boot floor area due to the downward forces applied. As said above, it looks to be designed to take the forces in a lateral and not vertical plane. I'm guessing you dont want to cut off your eyebolt mounts from the harness to fit a buckle (I thought I saw they were sewn in rather than threaded in via a buckle, sorry if I am wrong), so eyebolts on the bar are the best solution
  14. Any 350z are welcome mate, sometimes it quite refreshing to be reminded what a standard(ish) one looks like
  15. Another great day had by all. Was nice to meet a few more face and see some different cars
  16. I've already had a set numbnut I'm amazed you didnt post a pic Saw them today in the flesh and the looked very nice
  17. Yeah, after Bernie or Max (cant remember) said Briatore was a nutter I think they want to do a break away series just to stick 2 fingers up at Max and Bernie!
  18. As the others have said, it should be fine. Make sure they do a P2 service as this is the one it needed at 18k (I think) and is quite comprehensive so should sort it out for you
  19. Yup, its easy, theres a couple of screws on the back and the silver bits come off with the attached cables and plug You'll want a set of star bits to do it all, but I forget the sizes you need
  20. +1, clay or bug and tar remover. If that doesnt work, some kind of thinners should shift it. Although I'd be tempted to take it back to the garage and ask them a few questions
  21. You can easily swap the controls from one OEM wheel to the other if needs be. I got one off ebay, planning to get it retrimmed as my one is worn too
  22. Just like you never ask a Lady her age, you never ask a Zed owner how much their mods cost
  23. Very nice mate. You havent heard theres a recession going on have you? Or are you trying to buy us all out of it?
