  1. That was priceless. So was Colins face when he had Bennetts curry
  2. At the now famous Eilean Donan Castle ...
  3. Needs to get it back to Mitz with time to set it up this time!
  4. I think Mark put some Texaco stuff in his when down doing his remap and it near killed the power! V Power is 99RON in Leicester, or at least it was when I filled up this morning
  5. Any idea where abouts? Was he at the unit again? Still at least he answered the phone, we thought the worst might have happened on his way home last night!
  6. And prob an obvious question, but would this mean you lose cruise control? AFAIK its Gen2 ECUs that support map switching, and I think that means 06+. 03-05 doesnt support it But you do keep cruise control.
  7. he go there so late i'm wondering if CS's mechanic is still working on his car No, Andy finished, but Bennett was having a few "problems" with his setup Hope he got home ok! Was good to meet up with everyone, old and new. We did the meet a bit arse about tit, having had the car at the garage for 7:30am for a clutch and flywheel swap out, then allignement, we made it to the pub just as a whole load of you had shot back down the unit! Still an excellent day and night. Big thanks to Mitz and Andy for fitting me in very last minute and Alex of course for getting the bits to me in record time! Andy did an excellent job and didnt stop once during the couple of hours I watched him work, I think he may not be human! Especially the seeming easy at which he lifted the gearbox with Mitz The new clutch and flywheel are certainly different to the OEM setup! Now seems much lighter, and the light flywheel makes pickup noticably quicker and me and Amanda are convinced the exhaust is louder from lower revs. Just dont try and reverse on idle revs, as I found out at the pub
  8. Envy sell these bolts and kits for the Zed too
  9. Can anyone needing info please contact me if before 7pm this evening or Mart after 7pm. While Martin is driving down, I will cover the fort, but please be patient as I dont know the ins and outs of all the details
  10. Sorry to hear that Mart, if you need any help, let me know. As you know we're at the same hotel as you tonight, should be there about 9ish I think, guess we'll see you in the lobby with your laptop
  11. I have the typhoon with a pop charged and it does make a difference on air and temp... drove with it removed and the readings with the camp2 were less air and more heat without the tube... Interesting. Was that at all speeds or just higher ones? I might go get a normal intake flexitube and add it to mine if thats the case
  12. The first link (now fixed for you) seems to be our trader Rik - as its a guy called Rik in Leicestershire, United Kingdom. So I guess the first one is valid
  13. I'm not convinced for pop charger/K&N type intakes these will make much difference. For a sealed unit (ala OEM) I can see it will help get more air into the airbox, but I cant see it doing much for popcharger given when you are moving airflow already forces air up that way. Any notion of "ram air" is balls given the unit isnt sealed so it wont presurise anything. Ramair only really works on very few cars and bikes. I remember when my R6 came with it, and they reckon its only good for a bit more power above 60MPH. What I have noticed is that there are bits of trim behind our grille which when removed could aid in airflow, but need to look at it some more
  14. I think it will include a before and after run your records, but I highly doubt it is for dyno tuning time. I think this will be their generic map which they apply and its good to go. If it does include dyno tuning time, then I will be up for it in a few months
  15. 7:30am start at the garage for me, the things I do for my car!
  16. He too, along with treating my baby to a new clutch and flywheel and lazer allignment all round Its a bit more than a few members though Mart, 30+ Zeds in one place isnt to be sniffed at
  17. The Abbey UpRev flash package is £345.00 (inc VAT) I'll be looking forward to seeing what numbers we get from a stock 276 and stock 300. Thats a great price. Is that for their "generic" map where they just stick the map on for you with no dyno tuning? Or is that with some dyno tuning too?
  18. Think thats got something to do with the Butterfly on the TB not opening 100% .... Cause I belive non of the 350z's do... Unless you have a piggyback I dont know if you can set this on the reflash... Reflash can offer this - UpRev offer it as part of theirs and so too do Technosquare.
  19. Not as much as the damage on the front wheel.... Just incase I would have all the suspension checked out and stuff......there may be more damage than just cosmetic Or the rear wheel according to one chaps post in the other thread. Locked to keep the original topic together
  20. I thought you did need them from Dans picks when he fitted his. It makes logical sense that as you are removing the whole unit, you dont need to tighten them down. Ping Dan a PM, he did his own, or dig out his thread
  21. For that price I can see them being non hubcentric and not having the bolts pressed into the spacers but just supply longer ones to replace the OEM. This means that the spacers might not sit dead straight (cause wobble) and would require you to replace the OEM bolts which is a PITA as the others have said. For double the cost, the Eibachs are well worth it and proven
  22. Why does anyone care if they show up as online or offline anyway?
  23. It was 288 at the fly Nothing ground breaking there Andy, but shows that these things (remaps) are consistent. As you say, no major HP gain, but drivability is the key thing it adds. WRT the Nismo intakes, did they do any rolling intake temp tests? Via my car PC and OBD hookup, I can see that on the dyno, my popcharger gets majorly warm, about the same delta in temp you see witht he Nismos vs stock. On the road however, they give about the same temps, but I think the popcharger would flow more so does have benefit in real world. Should also be noted that in the States, the stock 06+ airboxes are quite widely regarded as the best intakes for NA tunes. WRT the throttle response, on my 276, you can never achieve full throttle, at any revs. Again via OBD, the highest I've manged to get is 87% throttle. So again this is another benefit of the remap as it allows you full throttle whenever you like. Ultimately I think you have proven again that the remap does work, but you have to go in with the right expectations which you did. It does however make me wonder why your reading seemed to be so down on the SRR dyno? Bad case of heat soak? Or maybe Mark and Adrians cars are running a more power than we think. Certainly shows you need to get mods dyno'd before and after at the same place on the same day to prove they've worked and just forget about the headline figures.
