  4. Looks like an interesting idea, any more details like who actually runs it?
  5. Have you filled it up fully yet? I have a mate at work that got a 16Gb cheapy sticl and when he hit more than 5GB full it went mental and corrupted all his data
  6. EVO-R carbon is normally quite good. They have been around for ages. Always found that the guages dont point the right way in those mounts though and I'm sure the wheel will block most of your view of them
  7. 1. Nothing wrong with OEM setup for spirited driving but it can fade quite noticably on the track - and also remember that in many cases you can get uprated kit cheaper than OEM, this is why most plump for it - 2 birds with one stone - more performance and cheaper than OEM. 2. EBC are fine if you realise what they are for. They are budget kit, and again are fine for spirited driving, but not track driving. The Zed is a heavy car (~1.5 tonnes), so you need good pads. Red stuff are equated to uprated pads on most cars, but for the Zed, they have admitted they are closer to stock. To update with EBC you need yellowstuff. As for the discs, again, they are fine for fast road use, but not track. The Zed being heavy it puts a lot of heat into the discs and EBC cant take it. 3. There are sooo many packages out there its very hard to offer advice, type of use and budget are the 2 most important factors. It sounds like you wont be tracking your car, but rather fast road useage, and you want something around (more likely less) than the OEM setup from a dealer. This would sway me towards the Ferrodo DS2500 pads and some form of EBC Ultimax or Turbo grooved disc. If you are going to track it though, dont be supprised if you warp the discs if you are heavy on the brakes, as they cant take too much heat. Fast road they will be fine. Have a chat to our traders - CS, Envy, ZMANALEX, they are all very knowledgable
  8. I would be worried about what the hell you are doing to kill a clutch in 30k miles Should last at least 50k-60k if you arent tracking it and drive it properly Also if you are battering the clutch, what are you doing to the flywheel
  9. There speaks a voice of experience Sure it will go fine chap, just tripple check everything as you go and it'll be fine
  10. Thread tidied - please keep comments in the chat thread chaps - viewtopic.php?f=25&t=26040

  12. Might be. All sorts of oddities showing up now. One of our guys here, who's had imported JDM for almost 4 years, his has self lowering wing mirrors when backing, but not heated etc. Yes they were options. The JDM cars have loads of funky options, like auto drop wing mirrors and corner cams at the front for better visibility at T-junctions.
  13. I agree with what Alex said. At low revs, you will get a noise, and as long as you arent labouring the engine, no vibration should be evident. You will have to drive around at a few more revs now, keeping it at or above 2000RPM so to avoid the noises, but you quickly get used to it.
  14. Havent used them myself, but Adrian rates the Sessanta over Falkens which are regarded to be similar to Toyo. I'd go with the Sessanta
  15. FM3 FTW Although I do now have a PS3 as it was the most economical way to get Bluray, so will check out the demo

    Spoilers

I'm sure a man of your Googling skills can find it Think the one on the Envy car really suits a carbon hatch
  17. Booo - I have a testdrive this weekend, dont want them to cancel it! I hope it doesnt snow down here! Oooh what you test driving Chris? Snowplough? It shares an engine with that lardy American car I test drove for you
  18. Bleeding Nissan cheapskates, probably only costs a few pennies per ECU Still that answers that question finally, cheers
  19. Any more details on what the differences are with UK vs US ECUs that alllows them to have live maps and multiple maps? Being a software engineer, I still find it very difficult to see why these features can not be added to the UpRev flashes as its all just software at the end of the day. Is it a space/memory limitation on the ECU itself?

  21. Get a HP Drift car, do a search on here and you'll see the one I have. They are great fun My Sprint 2 is now full carbonised
  22. A few of the other contractors here are already using this as an excuse to work from home Saying that, be careful on the roads, I've just had one of my colleagues tell me about him binning his car last night, supposidly on some oil or Diesel - yes of course it was Just go easy people the roads can catch you out in this weather
  23. I know it doesnt solve the problem, but if you do find them, just report the post. Click the little exclamation mark in the top right of the post and give a quick explaination. Would make the mods lives easier if people posted in the correct places though
